So here`s the thing! Pepe! We`ve had no interest in him and he`s on £140000 a week. He`s saying the right things - trained hard over the Summer changed certain things etc .

I haven`t seen the USA games live - has he changed? Or is he just staying put and picking up great wages? Me provided we buy another Forward / Winger am happy to have as cover for Saka . Or has he had his turn - not good enough - and we should sell and buy a better forward/ winger?

Whichever way it`s diced up £72 mill was wasted which is why we are currently spending like we are to make up for some terrible transfers! VTH.

{Ed014's Note - from what another poster said I think he’s pretty much doing exactly the same thing, just not working hard enough off the ball.

Long time left in the window so you never know.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sell him for a cut price - he’s just not going to do it .

Don't think we could give him away Banbury if we wanted to mate, no clubs going to pay those wages, an Ozil type loan where Arsenal pay large part of his wages still but saves on whatever the other club contributes.

It hasn't worked out so a solution that works for everyone's advantage is the sensible way out for everyone involved.

I think most clubs would rather buy Sharpie`s watch! It`s why I think that`s why we`ll end up keeping him.

Sussex, you stay away from my watch! There's no need for fighting talk like that.

Seriously though, it sounds like Edu and the team are trying to correct problems like this. Will they always get it right? Of course not. But as a fan base, we can be satisfied if they get more purchases right than they do wrong.

Every club have issues like this - look at Chelsea. A reported £700K in weekly wages being spent on £180 million of talent that they don't want and can't get rid of.

There are inherent risks in bringing in ANY player because regardless of how good they were at their last club, the dynamics and environment at their new club might not be conducive to them being spectacular for their new employers.

At least Sharpies watch keeps running…….

Unless its a STOP watch ;)

Sadly, I think Sussex is correct, we will either have to let him leave on a free, and even then, how many teams in the world would pay him the 140k a week, or we send him out on loan, while still paying most of his salary. The latter seems a waste, although I guess we will hope he plays every week and makes himself valuable. However, we will have an issue replacing him, in that whoever comes in, will know they are going to be second fiddle to Saka, so we are not going to attract top tier players to sit on the bench. In that regards, Pepe holds a massive advantage, in that he already knows he is a benchwarmer, and on his day, a useful sub, so I would actually prefer we keep him, rather than give him away, or worse, pay him to play for someone else.

Don`t be sad I`m correct Epping - celebrate like it`s 1999 as that according to my missus is the last time I was correct ( and I`m pretty sure she misheard me back then ) VTH.
