This is for the Ed's too.
Just to lighten the mood for a moment.
Watching the England v Norway womens Euros yesterday winning 8-0.
If you were to pigeonhole the England womens team at what level of mens English football would you say that they would fit into.
League 1
League 2 or others? .
?.

{Ed001's Note - Manchester United?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely not that low!
I thought you knew about football?

{Ed001's Note - good point, that was probably unfair, I should retract that.}

How awesome would it be if our ladies lifted the cup! ?.

It's pretty much impossible to compare the men's and women's game because of natural physicality, but in terms of ability on the ball and movement and mental awareness of the game I'd say international women's football is above league mens standard.

Good point g62, often we try to compare apples to apples but in a way they're different sports. If you watch strength or athletics sports much, you often notice that women have far better technique because they can't just muscle their way through like the men can. Same can often hold true for football.

Hi Wire mate, Nicola Adams is good example, she wouldn't stand a chance against a good ammatue male boxer physically but when it comes to skill and technique she was on a par with top professional male boxers.

Elen White is as good a centre forward as you could hope to have technically she ticks every box you would look for when shopping for a proper centre forward but obviously just isn't built to play against men.
