I Arsenes first couple of years the red cards came thick and fast, but so did titles and trophies so no one cared too much ????
Vieira and Petitt collected more cards than a pokemon fanatic in the early years, if memory serves me correct ????.

I think it all comes down to the size and capability of the squad. If players feared for their position, they might think twice about being sent off and the subsequent ban. However, time has shown those players getting the red bounce straight back into the first team as soon as available, so it almost becomes a holiday. Until that changes, I think we will still see players not accepting responsibility for their actions.
