A horror show.

{Ed014's Note - and no central defenders left for the next two games, I didn’t even bother watching as said to the other half that we’d lose and either Xhaka or Gabriel will get sent off. Didn’t quite get the latter right.

This kind of game is exactly why I still have big doubts about Arteta.

Agree0 Disagree0

If that was conte or mourhinio holding would of been off after the yellow card it was obvious he was going to get sent off…why not play white from the start of he’s fit enough as well….

What's worrying is when we lose its always by hurting ourselves.

Me too Ed

I really can’t see us finish 4th, can you?

{Ed014's Note - never have done mate to be honest, we don’t yet have the big game mentality and certainly not over 90 minutes.

Newcastle and Everton could easily turn us over.

When you think of how few games we’ve played compared to others too.

Yes very true Ed, our fixture list has been quite short in comparison. Thrashed is an understatement.

{Ed014's Note - very short mate and we can’t keep important players fit.

I’m thinking that Tomi will be moved in next to Ben White and we’ll have the dependable Nuno Tavares back in on the left.

Really can’t wait to see how that pans out! ?

It’s showed how thin and inexperienced we really are.

We should never of gone out so fired up, I know it's the derby, but all the pressure should of been on them, if ever there was a game to be calm, play the percentages, not do anything rash, or try and push it, be boring as hell and let them get frustrated, this was it, instead we lost the plot gave a penalty away and got someone sent off, which has been a very worrying trend under Arteta.

{Ed014's Note - a trend I really don’t like mate.

Is it just bad luck, in so much as just a lot of poor individual errors or can it be attributed to the way the teams trained/ set up? But it's been well over a year that we've been getting far more reds than anyone else.

13 May 2022 06:20:51
It’s down to the individual mate, take Leeds their recent red cards have been absolutely horrific, the manager can do nothing about it, player mentality.

If ever there was a team that was best described by Forest Gump it's this Arsenal team.

They are capable of pulling off huge surprises and equally capable shocking disappointments.

4th place is going to be decided on game 38 and although it's easy to see reasons it might not happen for us it would be a very brave person who put a months wages on it either way.

What I always find frustrating is how we always struggle when playing teams with 10 men, and yet always get thumped when we’re down to 10.

Red cards are disappointing, but in a way, I get more annoyed when we go into games slow, and get caught like a rabbit in headlights. I call this the England Rugby syndrome, when they go play Scotland at Murrayfield.

They always seem completely shocked that Scotland start at 100mph, and have absolutely no answer, as if it wasn’t even discussed, let alone planned.

So going out with more purpose, and physicality from the off, I have no issue with, but we need to do it as a team, with planning, rather than individuals doing it on their own and getting sent off.
