That's a fair shout mate, I was thinking on the same lines. But the optimist in me is saying these lads would love to go to the toilet bowl and get a result. I respect that they have got a great team too but I think they will have to get the game to us and we break quite well and with devastation. Hopefully we get the job done on Thursday night.

Based on yesterday’s performance, I don’t think The toot will be quaking in their boots about Thursday. I can’t understand how a team can play well for about 20 minutes and then deliver tripe for the remaining 70. We need to find a bit more consistency.

There is no question that we have it in our make up to switch off and underestimate teams like Brighton and Southampton Epping mate, equally we have it in us to up our game against teams like Chelsea United and West ham if we feel that's what is needed.
Part of this young teams education is learning to treat Liverpool and Norwich with the same respect for the full 90 minutes plus.

I see it like this Epping. The boys knew they had it in the bag so decided to take the pedal off the gas so to speak and save legs. Who knows - was this the boss's intention, or was this the squad's vision all along, knowing full well we have Spuds on Thursday night? The only other reason as to why I have this perspective is because we know full well our squad lacks depth - yes this is no excuse to drop our guard as we could have and should have easily tucked in 3-4 more goals, let alone not conceded the goal.
Only time will tell and I'm hoping I am right. I see us really taking it to Spurs but I am worried about Newcastle and Everton. An away game to a team that looks reinvigorated despite their recent defeat, and an Everton squad who will put it all on the line to avoid possible relegation.

I fancy us to win all 3 games
we defiantly dropped off yesterday, at the same time we spurned 3 clear-cut chances at the start of the 2ned half and could have been 510 up from they started applying any pressure.
I don't think the boys will need to get up for the Tottenham game, and I know they got a lot of plaudits for the Liverpool game, however, if they defined as they did in the first half of that game and give the ball away from our press as often as they did then we will be outta sight by half time.
Newcastle is safe, outta the Europe chase and a few of the players know that they will be replaced in the summer so are not going to give everything.
and I believe that Everton will be safe by the last gale of the season, and then they will suffer a bit through relaxing and we could actually give them quite a heavy defeat last game of the season.
but I am ever the optimist haha.

You may be correct CA, resting up before the big game, but I am a massive fan of momentum, and we could of walked off the pitch on the back of a big win, imo the perfect build up for the game. Instead we limped off, which seems a missed opportunity to lay down a big mark ahead of the game.
