Sorry everyone I have reposted a comment I made but I appreciate peoples opinion and maybe the Ed's could get in on this one.

We have had a striker issue for nearly 2 seasons now.
It's nothing new . we have scraped through games.
AUBA was les then useless and Lacazette worse worse still . Our real problem how I see it is that TOP strikers do not have any reason to play for us and it's being going on for years don't kid yourselves.
We are too unpredictable. !
NOW THE IMPORTANT PART
-------
How long do you think it will be before the likes of Saka will be off to the likes of Man City, Bayern, Real Madrid etc . on about £250k a week wages and transferred for around £120million getting a cut of that too.
It could be sooner than we all think!
What's all your opinions especially on Saka.

{Ed014's Note - well we’ve attracted the likes of Ozil, Sanchez, Auba and Lacazette who were all wanted else where and they weren’t over the hill has beens when we signed them so not sure that part is correct.

If all these young players can see a process and we can add further young talented players who like the look of what’s happening then why move and why won’t they come.

The likes of Klopp and Guardiola are not guaranteed to be at their respective clubs for more than a couple more years.

As for the likes of Barca and Madrid, they’re massively in debt and trying to sort their respective houses out and don’t have money burning a hole in their pockets.

If the likes of Saka and co wanted to leave, it would be sad and disappointing, but not disastrous. Clubs have lost home grown talent before, it’s not new.

We would just need to play hard ball and make sure are were fully in control of the sale. Get the maximum fee, and restrict where they can go ( ie not another Premiership club) . Based on the fee we paid for Pepe, Saka would be worth considerably more, which if re-invested well into 2 or 3 players would soften the blow.

However, let’s think positively, and hope these players can see a positive future at Arsenal. It’s been said many times that the likes of ESR, Saka and Martinelli are all close mates, so you can tick the happy at work box.

Add a couple of decent signings to our current squad, and I think they will also see a positive future at our club.

{Ed014's Note - agree mate

I see this from a slightly different angle. I think Saka and Smith-Rowe would be sad if the club decided to cash in on their talent. They seem so loyal to the club and I believe see their future with us.

There's also a more positive spin on this- we have some of the best young talents in world football in ESR, Martenelli and Saka which must make us an exciting prospect for any players we want to sign.

Yep, and another positive spin is they play in positions that would cost hundreds of millions to fill with outside talent. Therefore with those places filled, we can go spend just on the couple of places we really need to.
