I re-watched the match against Leicester.
I loved seeing us dominate the game, having Leicester on the back foot.
Between Tielemans' goal (which was Xhaka's responsibility I feel) and the Ceballos bungle against Benfica, it seems that some of our CM's are prone to questionable decisions without a solid DM to steady their nerves.
With that said, credit to Xhaka for not fouling Tielemans. He seemed to really want to hack him down, but (like Leno against Benfica) decided it was better not to get sent off.
Willian's assist on the Luiz goal, but surely we can agree that our set pieces need work. We were quite wasteful of many opportunities.
I loved Mari and feel he's got an understanding of the dark arts. Love it.
Pepe was excellent, and I'm pleased to see his role in the side growing. He seems to better understand what is being asked of him. I'll put that down to good communication with/ from Arteta.
I'm glad that we were able to rest Saka and PEA. Squad rotation is something we have missed for years, maybe since the Invincibles. We have been over-reliant on a few. Maybe that is starting to change.
Things are trending up. Credit to MA and his crew. There was such great movement, confidence in possession and defence.
Also, my missus watched with me. "Who are we supporting? Help me understand what's going on. " It's a gooner household, and I'm a lucky man.

We just need consistency and discipline now, which I thought we had until we collapsed against Wolves after such a dominant 1st half then followed it up with defeat to Villa .
