Just imagine the goals giroud would have scored with Tierneys crosses if he was still here, there would have been some right dirty goals.

I liked Giroud he was an asset for us, but it was wise to sell him to a rival lol.

{Ed014's Note - I was listening to that halfwit Adrian Durham talk about Giroud earlier.

Never ceases to amaze how journo’s and clowns like him go so overboard just because of a bicycle kick! 🤦‍♂️

Giiroud to Chelsea had to happen in order to make Auba to Arsenal happen.
Dortmond wanted a Chelsea player on loan to cover Auba leaving and Chelsea wanted Giroud in return for allowing Dortmond to loan their player.
Giroud to anywhere but Chelsea was never an option if we wanted Auba at Arsenal.

The rights and wrongs if the 3 way deal are open to debate but how and why it came about was a very open story at the time.
Giroud was reluctant to leave and Arsene reluctant to lose him but in the end is was either Giroud or Auba?

Ed 14 I thought giroud was class very underrated class touch class finish strong great in the air only thing he lacked was pace I’d have him up top b4 pea.

{Ed014's Note - he just missed far to many chances for me mate, yes he had qualities but he’s not a goal machine and to be successful you need one of those.

I think Giroud best premier league goals return was 16 in a season and he got around that figure on a regular basis but he was a team player who worked tirelessly up top on his own without complaint for the good of the team.

If Arsene had bought him a partner during the 2013/ 14 season we'd have been champions that season, we were top of the league going into the new year but it was plain to see Giroud wax knackered and needed a hand, the rest is history and we managed to nick 4th place off Everton after dropping from 1st to 5th.

To me Giroud was always at his best when you played him next to a great scorer. When he played up top with Alexis and Theo, he fit perfectly into that team as he contributed 20 a season but also gave the rest of our lads someone to ping passes off. We were always able to play much closer to the opponents' 18 when he was on the pitch.

I think the problem fans had with him was that they were expecting someone who could dart in behind, run the channels, and finish - someone like Vardy - and he was never that kind of player. I think Giroud could have been a successful component of a title winning side, but as a sometime starter rather than the man we expected to score most of our goals. I'm still happy to see him do well, and I love the goals he scores, though. One of my favourite Arsenal players in recent years, scored some beauties.

I agree Wire mate, Olly was brilliant in a two man striker role and I agree again he is one of my favourite players too
Quality and commitment, a combination that's difficult not to like.

Giroud didn’t need pace for his game, but it’s a key aspect of PEA’s game and I think that’s gone.
