I think the problem we all have is where we have fallen from, we were sold a dream when moved to the new stadium .

Arteta is still in a job because of the FA Cup win. It that memory is now fading especially after he devalued the competition this year .

As Ed has said we are now battling for 10th place . seriously? There should be an outcry and protests, we aren’t cheap to watch and will have to up our game before fans get back

Without a doubt we have some excellent talent in the squad but it’s vital we keep them, I’m adamant if we have one more season like this these talented youngsters will be on the move .

I’m unsure on Arteta, I think it’s unfair to bomb him out after one season but to have two seasons of mediocrity back to back could do ever lasting damage and be very difficult to come back from.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree on the stadium viewpoint Oxfordshire mate. Complete with the big clubs was the line we were slipped and apart from a few big money signings and big wages, on two occasions the big wages has massively misfired (Ozil and Willan) it's never really happened.4 cup wins not to be sniffed at. But the big 2 trophies that we at Arsenal should be aiming at we have never really come close.

{Ed077's Note - And the jury is still out on the new big deal for Auba as well IMO

Absolutely Ed.

{Ed077's Note - I can't take so many people agreeing with me all in one day. 😂😂

I thinks it's the editing thing influencing everyone 🤣🤣

For me this all goes back to Wenger tenure

If he didn’t agree with the way the club was being run why didn’t he give the shareholder an ultimatum that he would leave

And when Wenger had money to spend he balls it up.

{Ed077's Note - And I also think you guys shouldnt have gotten rid of Sven Mislintat(the scout you got from Dortmund, now at Stuttgart)

There appears to be two successful models in the league at the moment. Clubs who can buy success and therefore attract the best managers. Then there are those clubs that seem to buy into their manager's vision, like Leicester, Wolves, Everton etc. Where do we stand? Ed002 is adamant that with Edu and his super agent at the helm we will always have problems. And we don't have owners who invest their own money.
I am a glass half full person so I'm hoping that everyone involved with the club are learning from their mistakes.
Finally, I'm not sure this is banter so perhaps this should go on the discussion page haha.

Sally the problem is FFP rules. The most an owner can invest without breaking the rules is around £45 million

Ok club is not being run the way it should but the owner has invested just not the right way.

It all comes back to losing David Dein i think : (.

I've just finished reading Arsene's autobiography and I think you're right Je. He was a great loss to the club. Regarding the FFP rules - I'm a complete idiot and can't understand how other clubs can spend squillions Malaga. I assume a lot of their disposable money comes from sponsorship?

Agreed on DD, he was excellent for the club and had a very close relationship with AW, Arsene could concentrate with on field matters and let DD sort out new players, once DD left it gave Arsene more to do.
