ED - thoughts on Saka, what’s the length of his current contract?
Shouldn’t we put him on a long contract with a large selling fee added?
He’s the hottest property around at the moment ( along with Foden )
We are blessed with him and Rowe, hopefully Arteta and the club can see that.

He seems to love Arsenal too and if we build something worthwhile then why would he leave.
It’s fortunate that clubs like Madrid and Barca are swimming in debt so the days of them splashing large amounts of cash are over for a while.
It certainly wouldn’t hurt to get him on an improved contract and I imagine his agent is already on that case, never heard of English clubs having buy out clauses though, I could be wrong but don’t recall any.
We do have some quality youngsters and I’d include Martinelli in there too.

Do you think under Arteta we will now see improved contract talks, this is an area we have been so poor at .
{Ed047's Note - I’m hoping so as I get the impression Arteta knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to speak up about it.
I think our business in general looks better, I realise that we get slated for the Pepe deal but the repayments made sense even if the fee didn’t so I don’t really worry about that.
Arteta also seems really positive about Balogun signing which will be another positive on contracts.

Ed, if any of the Spanish giants want Saka, we have to be quoting 200 million, seeing as Sancho from Dortmund is being quoted around 160 and he isn’t that good.
{Ed047's Note - we 100% shouldn’t be giving him away and no one will have that money in the current climate so hopefully he’s safe with us.
I’d be amazed if anyone pays that amount for Sancho either, although saying that United might be mug enough! 🤣
His agent is an arse too and wants mega money to make a deal with whoever buys him.
Dortmund are looking to offload a fair few this summer by all accounts.

Saka will be going nowhere until 2024 at the earliest that's for sure, we don't sell our best players any more those days are long gone, they just leave for nothing now days 😆
But on a serious note, I just don't see him wanting to move to soon in his career, I think for the next 3 years or so he will concentrate on becoming automatic England pick and establishing himself as one of the premier league elite players.

Players like Saka etc should be the driving force of the ambition of the club, these young players including a fit KT and a solid TP are the foundations of an excellent squad, tie these players down NOW, so if someone comes in for them we will get full value . Pepe 72 million then Saka is £140 million that’s no exaggeration.
