Literally a week ago top 6 was mooted even top 4! We play Wolves where we played our best football of the season until a red card penalty situation changed the game. We play an in form Villa in a game that had draw written all over it . We weren`t whacked 5-0 5-0 . On another week we beat Wolves and draw with Villa. To suggest in a week we have disintegrated to a rubbish team is bowlocks. If we go with this knee jerk reaction we`d have sacked and reinstated Arteta 5 times. We have no right to top 4 . It`s simple really MA in or out! If you think we are improving and I mean team players out attitude etc then surely he deserves time. Don`t change your mind on a game by game basis! Me MA in COYG We are also a much much better team with KT in it.

Same as Welsh, always been an 'Out' for me too. We were (are) a sinking ship and needed some steady hands in to improve us and get us back up the table, not a manager with no real experience.
I am always happy to be proved wrong and I hope Arteta does succeed and I'm reminded of this.
Have we really improved with him though? I would argue not, and are actually a little worse than we were under Emery.
{Ed047's Note - defensively for me we have improved and our goals against suggest that and defence is where any clubs needs to start.
It’s further forward where we need things to click as they did in the first half against Wolves, that and putting the ball in the net a lot more than we are.
We also at the moment need to be able to play our best 11 every game as when we need players to step up they don’t always do it!

We have dropped 10 points from our red card games, 10 more points puts us in fourth. I obviously don't know if we would have gotten those points, but would have been nice.
I wanted MA before we got Emery. It's time for the players to step up, like the kids have, and in recent weeks Pepe and Xhaka has been outstanding since his red card.
We really miss Teirney.

Personally I agree with what Epping said yesterday football is an escapism from everything that happening in the real world right now, and whether people feel positive or negative about Arsenal they should feel free to post their feelings.
Nothing wrong with disagreeing and debating with the way people see and feel about things as long as you respect others rights not to see things and feel the same about things as you do.
Personally it's the humour the banter, fun, sharing, and swapping of opinions i enjoy regardless of whether I agree or disagree with how others see or feel about things.

Then he had to go during our poor run then a WEEK ago you suggested TOP SIX was on the cards so it was MA in I guess then 2 games later he`s rubbish and has to go! I was castigated by you for saying top 4 was on the cards ( during our bad run ) i paraphrase - please bring some reality to the table - but you waited until we were doing well then mentioned top six and have even changed your mind since! I`ve always been MA in and that`s the beauty of it we are poles apart on how we get there but we want the same thing for the Arsenal! My huge issue is that Arsenal are one of the biggest football clubs in the world, and the football side of things are being run by people completely new to their positions.
I personally believe that we now have a starting 11 that can compete for the top 4, and whilst this season is a write off due to various reasons I expect us to be showing the kind of form that shows that we will be challenging next season.
If MA and Edu can't show that by the end of the season then they should be moved on because there I'm sure there are proven managers out there who can deliver.

Not rate, not want even dislike but to hate anyone is an extremely strong emotion and I'd have thought you'd need a hugely more devastating reason than football to hate anyone.

He’s passionate, committed and will make things happen given time, if he doesn’t and we get relegated I’ll hold my hands up and say I’m wrong ( then blame Sussex) 🤣.

If it continues that we win a couple of games and then lose a couple would you be happy with him continuing into next season?

Fair enough to all who want MA out we all have our own opinion. If we should change manager now I believe it would set us back even further, because the squad is not yet rebuilt. A new manager may not get the chance to bring in the number of players he would like to play his style of football.
We have some players who can push on in the next two seasons of so. Pepe needs some work and strengthen up so do Saka and ESR.
As I said before the teams are going to knock us off the ball as Villa did with Saka. Marvelous Nakamba came in for D Luiz just to do that including Grealish who should of got a card earlier for persistent foaling.
Xhaka as improved but his game is more on par with Partey but not his level. We need someone beside Partey who his not of playing the ball but to break up play with the ball and play the simplest or nearest pass.
I think MA is trying to manage the squad but players like KT will have to manage himself as well. He knows he’s a little brittle so he may need to learn to hold back a bit if he wants to play every game to create a legacy at the club.
Gabriel is quite passionate as well but needs to mature to shake being erratic.

He would certainly do a better job at it than Xhaka and Eleney. He seems to suffer from lack of confidence when not played or when used differently.

He looked quality when he first came.

MA is not the issue in my mind, he was left with a load of overpaid average players and no money, he and his team have somehow managed to get rid of most of those players off the wage bill and sign top quality players to strengthen in the positions needed, as well as being through a very exiting bunch of youngsters.
He needs this season and the first half of next season at least in my opinion before I start wanting him out. Some on here I’m guessing are juveniles that just simply post “ Arteta out†with no knowledge of the club or the finances. AFC is not a kids Sunday league team where one of the dads is manager and you can just swap him for your dad half way through building the team.

337 I didn’t want to condescending I just think we get too emotional too easily with every couple of wins or losses and not analysing each game enough and the teams around us or where we want to get to.
We still need a couple of seasons recruiting and moving on correctly and we seems to be doing some of that right so far. I use Chelsea and Man U for example they seems to have a better squad maybe just needing one player each. Anyone of these two teams could risk sacking their manager and still not affected badly. Bringing in a top manager who will only bring in a player or two in a complete season.

But equally AFC is not an old boys club where one of our own be made excuses for that an outsider would not be afforded 377 mate.
I think we have to assess things in the summer and be honest about where Arteta has taken us, this season is a little weird but next season fingers eyes toes and ears crossed the fans will be back in full force and normal service will be resumed, the last thing we need is to be debating Arteta and why we are mid table.
