We are here for you too Sally, I know you girls don't tend to have such a problem opening up as us blokes but sadly none of us are immune from struggling mentally.

Together we are stronger, all of us 💖.

{Ed0666's Note - Gunner you’re making a sweeping generalization there mate I know plenty of fellas that have no problem talking about their emotions. But kudos for the support you’re showing Sally, nice one.

Thanks Gunner :) I must say its brilliant how these issues are being discussed openly now.

Absolutely Sally, I think we are as a spices becoming more understanding and accepting of ourselves and each other and letting go of the old stereotype one size fits all thinking of days gone by.
Turns out blokes do cry and women can park cars and read maps 😆 wow, who knew 😎.

Hi Ed yes your right I was speaking in general terms mate, I totally respect that more and more men are completely happy to talk about their feelings openly and that is a brilliant thing.
In experience the hangover from the days where we were taught "men don't cry " still exists for far to many men and we still have a way to go yet before that stigma is totally forgot and left behind completely. But we are most definitely moving in the right direction thankfully 😎.

{Ed0666's Note - yes mate. Isn’t it sad that we lived in an era where men couldn’t display their emotions and talk about their problems. I come from that same bygone era and believe me it’s caused me real harm relationship wise. I, not sure sure if you’re old enough to remember the old BT adverts but it really is ‘good to talk mate’. Showing emotion isn’t a sign of weakness it’s a sign of being human. Have a super weekend mate.

And Ed006 I know plenty of women who struggle too.

{Ed0666's Note - it’s a sad thing to read mate. I know so many people who suffer communication issues it pains me. I wish as a race we could talk more. That would remove a lot of issues in this world. Effective communication.

Yes I remember BT ads well Ed mate, Maureen Lipman and her ology :-)

Emotions wise we are only just emerging from the dark ages but thankfully we are now learning and educating as we go along, I'm convinced that in 10 years we will be teaching kids mental health education from 5 years old to adulthood and beyond. The last 5 years things have moved like never before on recognising and accepting it realky is OK to not be ok.
I'm extremely hopeful for the future, have a great weekend Ed mate.

{Ed0666's Note - Yeh mate....Oh to live in a world more evolved. I’m an old man now but I remember the dark ages when if you admitted mental health issues people would think of you as some sort of social pariah. Bi-Polar, Schizophrenia, Depression, anxiety these are real issues that need to be addressed and the best way to do this is start a dialogue. I know a lot of people are feigning mental health issues to con the system but you’re always gonna get rotten eggs but there are people out there who need help. So if anybody out there needs to chat just say so.
