You could hate auba all you want but he did a lot better then his pervious games, yes you want your captain to do more but I can't fault him tonight. I think AMN was a bad match for him as he couldn't connect with auba. He did few great runs but we failed to deliver when his on a run. That's my opinion
However xhaka was our best player tonight, did some good tackles but we are a team that counting too much on the poor kid saka.
Awful result of course not what we wanted.

Muscle soreness, PEA tried a “ bit†harder granted, still the “ silent skipper†though
Xhaka gave 100% and as you say made some great tackles, however also made 2 or 3 mistakes which could have cost us the game unfortunately.

Tierney was rested with muscle tightness, Mari out with tight calf. Agree on Xhaka, has been excellent last few games.
I think when we play counter attacking teams, now more than 2/ 3 rds of the league, we need to play the wide men on the wing of their strong foot, so they get in behind and cut the ball back. cutting inside on your strong foot, into traffic, achieves little.
Partey looked good. All is not lost.

I thought Xhaka had a decent game, they all gave the ball away, that’s all Pepe did when he came on. Get rid of him for 30 mill I say.

Yes mate I totally agree that he is not vocal which is why he can't be a captain but you can see he's trying at least rather then other games when he couldn't bother. As for xhaka you always should expect few mistakes in the game but his tackling were a lot better. But I was too worried with our full backs tonight.

Dull match but Palace are a well organised and a decent team.
AMN was poor but played out of position and I thought Luiz was terrible- slowed the play down whenever he got the ball.
One positive was Xhaka. Hope he keeps this form up.
