Getting so tired of the Ozil situation now. It seems his people are now playing a game of chess with his career.
The way I see it ( for what it’s worth) is that he needs to leave as the publicity is affecting other players now in contract negotiations
I think we have 2 options, let’s see who agrees with which they think is best for ARSENAL FC ( not themselves)
1. Because he has until the summer left on his contract at allegedly £350k per week if he sees it out that’s upwards of £5mill in wages for doing nothing so he is being advised to see it out. I personally think if a club takes him we are better off paying him this amount and he goes, end of saga
2. If he stays and you lot that want him in the team get your way and he’s given a place in the squad do you think he will try his hardest? If he doesn’t then his list of future suitors will become smaller for him, or will he give 200% because he then can demand bigger financials from his next club due to being a top player again?
Wouldn’t want to be playing this chess game with my own money or career 😂.

Well said Ed glad you agree at least - I was close to signing for the spuds at age 5 as I come from a totally Tottenham family, still today glad I rebelled lol.

Agreed we either pay him and play him or terminate his contract and if that means paying him then so be it.
If he does not agree his contract with anyone in this window then I’m sure suitors will be looking at his performance and anyone would give 200% to get a better pay package for the next 3 years.

I`ve loved him as a player but think he would do a Bale and return and be underwhelming / injured . Hope he moves on but £5 mill does sound tempting for doing nowt. Can I sign up?
On a separate note we all want Balogun to stay but if he won`t sign what can they do? He can then do what Ozil Sanchez and Ramsey did and become a free agent and get paid higher wages as no transfer fee required. Brentford I think offered £8 Mill for him which means someone could save that £8Mill ( plus his wages) and pay him £50 000 a week over three years in the Summer. It`s simple stump up or let him go but can`t help feel he may stay as he`s been with us for ages. Can`t see him dislodging Liverpool front three who are better than ours so i come back to is it about money? COYG.

Mikel has said Balogan wants to stay, Araenal want him to stay but the agent is holding out. Its a strange world!

His agent will hold out as he/ she will get a percentage of any signing on fee I guess. In Baloguns case he should be careful as he is unproven and a 5 year deal at a club like ours should be a good move, he could go elsewhere and flop and be known as a player with an “attitude “ problem. Guess this is similar to the pogba/ manu situation. I think the club needs to stand firm with these young unproven players and offer what they feel fair, if he goes he goes.

Totally agree 373 we have to sometimes trust that the people who see these guys every day training have the right plan for these players.
Arteta plays Martinelli and Saka because they are good enough and similar ages so he`s not averse to playing youngsters.
Mistakes are made all the time eg Salah and DeBryne . Offer what you think is right hope he stays but if he goes ignore the Gnabry comments should he become better than the offer we made COYG.

Whist we are on the subject of saka and martinelli they along with Tierney and ESR need to be given 10 year deals 😂.
