Leno should have gone first, we sold one of the best keepers in the Premier league with the form he was showing. Really poor decision.

I believe he left because he couldn't be guaranteed the number 1 spot.

Spot on Ed - plus he’s the better keeper
Flies in the face of the Boss’s message of earning the jersey - I think that’s a huge issue driving the squad apart. That plus his lack of experience and rigid style of football. They are adults not 9 year olds.
You can hear him screaming at them with no crowds and think they’re fed up with him.
{Ed047's Note - as a club from top to bottom we seem to be making one big mistake after another SY.
Baffling decisions like that one and ed01 has been saying that the constant shouting from Arteta has destroyed Lacazettes confidence.
Why was Leno not actually playing last night was another baffling decision, played in the previous Cup games against Liverpool and Leicester and kept clean sheets in both.
Arteta just compounds one error by making another. He has no experience to fall back on in these situations and that’s not good.

So right SY4 such contradictions if you listen back to Leno post match interview after the Carabo Final win he states the club basically reassured him he’s the #1 keeper so he was never worried.
So right Ed047 I was surprised he started as well especially seeing Leno played a couple of the Europa league games when he knew we needed to win.
However, I still feel Leno is a bit suspect. He was at fault for the Son goal. He was spotted well off his line and Son was clever to get closer before taking the shot.
{Ed047's Note - yep agree yard, I wasn’t so much lauding Leno just the daft decision not to play him in an important game as he had the two previously.
Was and still am a big Martinez fan.

Yeah I know, I just wanted to mention.
To be honest I’m not too bothered anymore until 2023/ 24 season the earliest before I raise my hopes again. Enough time to clear out the dead woods.

I’m with you but to even hope of something come 2023 - we need to start change up this season.
