Right that’s us out of the EL so we can concentrate on getting out of the bottom of the table now, drop half of the team that played yesterday, xhaka, bellend, William holding, get pea back out wide and give martinelli a chance up top.

I don’t get why Holding keeps appearing in these lists of our scapegoat and worst players. He has made more clearances than any other defender, and is normally asked to play on the right hand side of a 3, which’s means he has Bellerin and Willian in front of him. Show me any defender that could do well behind that shied?
Finally if dropped will just be be replaced by Mustafi, arguably the worst defender in the premier league consistently since he joined, or Luis, another defender propping up the worst statistic list, and both of whom are hopefully gone from the club at the end of the season.
Plus he adds to our English player quota, something we need going forward. So I hope he stays in the team, as yes, he is not blessed with high pace, which is not unusual for a tall central defender, but he seems like the sort of player that can learn and develop, which you certainly won’t get with most of our other so called centre half’s who are long past their sell by dates.
