Hi ed001, what's your thoughts on the Southampton manager? Reckon he would be a good fit for arsenal? I'm not sure how he is defensively but he seems like he's doing a great job.
{Ed001's Note - he is an excellent manager who is making his players better by working with him. Why would he want to join Arsenal though? I don't understand what would make him consider a change to a club that is in such a mess. Unless the club gave him the power to change what is needed above him, ie choose technical directors etc and get rid of Edu, he would be stepping out of a nice, stable club who backed him even after a horrendous defeat to join one that would need a complete rebuild. It would make no sense for him, he would be better off waiting for the better offers that will no doubt come his way in time.}

Money Ed. Not sure what sort of money he’s on at Southampton but I reckon we could offer him more?

Money often talks Dags but I think we can be sure that no manager in a decent team right now would even consider leaving for Arsenal. There will be a few who are out of jobs that may be interested but even the likes of Allegri who is still waiting for his next move wouldn't come anywhere near us. If Arteta goes, Eddie Howe jumps straight in his grave in my opinion and he'll be easy to convince. After all, we need a good championship manager.

Hi Ed, if you have the time, would you mind giving a breakdown of what you expect to happen to arteta please. It will stop questions about the manager to you but also give everyone here full clarity. If you have the time plz.
{Ed002's Note - Arsenal still have structure issues inside the club and they still have a manager who I don't think is up to the job. They have Edu who has made matters worse and are very much tking advice from a third party. They have gambled future income based on an assurance that they will be back in the Champions League next season - so finances are tough. They have players who are unhappy and at some point there will be a push to replace Arteta. Nothing will change until there is a decent shake up.}

Not everyone is 100% money motivated and can't simply be bought at the drop of a hat.
