What a joke some of you are, pea hasn’t scored much this season and your slating him and want him gone! I’ve seen it all now.

Totally agree Welsh. In the Summer everyone was falling over each other in the hope he would sign the contract, commit the rest of his career to us. He might have needed convincing, but I completely understand that after years of ridiculous decisions and shocking results. He signed, he has scored goals for fun for years! He will score bucket loads again. Simply the team is blunt due to a number of reasons. PEA might contribute to that, but his lack of goals is a result of may other factors. There is not may better strikers in world football, simply replacing him will not bring goals. Play to his strengths and he scores.

I haven’t said sell him, but 10 shots in 9 games and 1 assist isn’t good enough . Any other player with that form would have been dropped . He is club captain and currently lacks drive and leadership.

Are those stats his fault or the fact that the supply up to him has been non-existent? He can't be relied on to create all the goals he scores. If only Ozil was able to be a shock starter at the weekend. We would certainly see how much we really miss him imo.

Lol who blames Pierre? People need to remember creativity doesn’t need to just come from Ozil. Let’s not be one of these teams who needs one player for everything to work. Liverpool don’t really have an ozil player as their creativity comes from the width. It’s arteta’s fault why we aren’t creating because of the system we are currently playing.

Arteta has had to use that system to get us defending in an orderly fashion. He HAD to address that as the first issue and he has. The team showed excellent shape from the 1st minute to the last against Leeds and to be honest, we have been very reliable since the start of the season defensively. However, there is no denying that we have lost basically everything going forward. It's looks like Arteta is edging away from the back 5 now that he's seen the capability in our defending and I hope that we can start to work on our creativeness, wherever that comes from. As much as he doesn't really fit the system and doesn't have the work-rate, Ozil is a big miss.

Actually yes they are his fault, he had a lame attempt at Leeds, his lazy work rate will only bring his performance down
He lacks leadership
If it’s not happening he should make it happen.

He shouldn’t be our main striker he’s better out wide lacca has to start for me pea can’t play up top for us.

I think if anyone said he should go they should be taken straight to the nuthouse. He has shown throughout his career that he is a very good forward, and goals will come. However, what is not acceptable is a work rate any less than 100%, whether he is scoring or not. Harry Kane once again showed what a world class forward can add to the team with his performance against Man City. He didn’t score either, but he assisted, and at one point was the leading tackler for Spurs. HK sets the level that senior forwards should contribute to a top team, and currently PEA is a long way short of that level.

Fully agree Epping. I’ve always said Kane is better than PEA but arsenal fans won’t admit it just because Kane plays for Tottenham. But hopefully we see the best of Pierre soon!
