Question for the Ed's, apologise if you have already gone over this point .
If Mikel were to go, who can we realistically expect to come in as new manager if Edu was still there
And who could we expect if Edu wasnt.

{Ed047's Note - can I ask why you think Edu will make a difference in this scenario?

Agree0 Disagree0

The fact Edu seems a problem has you have stated, so would that have a effect on what type of quality manager we would get.

Apologies if you have already gone over this Ed.

{Ed047's Note - Edu was a problem in transfer negotiations and the reason Ozil isn’t playing but I’m not sure what effect he would have on getting any particular manager.

Arteta under any guise has to have been a big risk and I think we failed in getting our first choice manager when Emery was employed and from memory Edu wasn’t in the hot seat then.

So then we have the question are we simply not that attractive and if that’s the case then our choices would obviously be limited.

That I’d hope wouldn’t mean we couldn’t attract an up and coming manager at least whether Edu is here or not.

We have to rely on the club selling themselves and a vision, that’s where I worry as I’ve no idea what that vision is.

I don't know for sure but I think what TG is asking Ed047 is, which managers would work under Edu and which managers would be interested in the Arsenal job itself but not in working with or under Edu.
That's my take on the question, but I could be wrong as I do have previous, when it comes to being wrong :-)

{Ed047's Note - yes 62 I did pick that up was just asking what his concern was with Edu.

I know ed02 is not a fan as he made an arse of himself and the club in transfer negotiations in the summer.

As for being able to attract a manager with or without him is a little mute as it’s what the club are willing to put on the table in their vision and as I said to TG we’ve no idea what that is.

The fact we failed to get our first choice before Emery and that we have gone for an untested and untried manager doesn’t fill me with confidence in who we can actually attract 62 mate.

That's the 64 pence question Ed047 mate, who is both available and interested plus the same old question, who would leave their current job for us?

Personally I wouldn't rush this one as I'd rather write this season off and wait until the summer rather than panic and accept another Emery or Arteta by simply accepting what you can get at the time.

I like Nuno of Wolves and would be happy to wait until summer for him, but I'm sure he's not everyone's cup of tea.

{Ed047's Note - pence rather than pounds being more relevant to Arsenal too 62🤣👍🏼

Think Ed01 mention Gallardo and Marco Rose along with Julian Nagelsmann as being worth a very good shout mate.

We have to constantly live in hope of the club sorting this kind of thing rather than a belief that they will.

Leonardo Jardim not a good option Ed? Just curious how you rate him. i liked the way Monaco was playing under him. The problem would be that he plays very offensively and maybe that would bring our old defensive problems back.
For now i would stick with Arteta because if you change the coach too often it leads to the problems that we already see enough with our opponents. And of all people who work at our club there are people who do much worse than him.

{Ed047's Note - lemtim, I’ve not really thought of him, just personally like Nagelsmann.

Like you say the last thing we need is going back to our old ways.

I think we will stick with Arteta but I’m not yet convinced he is the answer but as always time will tell.

Would Nangelsmann entertain us? If so I'd be happy to have him as our Arsene replacement, take 3.
Hope springs eternal Ed047 mate.

Control the controllable as they say mate and the only thing us fans can control is our own sanity while the club sorts itself out and laughter definitely is the best medicine :-) .

{Ed047's Note - I’m pretty sure he would mate but he is hot property and I can’t for a minute think we would be on the list of clubs he can chose from for his next step up the ladder.

Staying sane following this club is never an easy thing mate! Haha

In the current fog, I think many are underestimating the attractiveness of managing this club. Yes we have slipped from previous highs, but we remain one of the worlds biggest clubs, both now and throughout history. We are based in one of the best cities on the earth, and in one, if not the best league in the world, and one of the best to prove yourself as a manager. We remain a very attractive option, with a decent squad, and despite what some think, the ability to spend when needed, and will pay the right manager a handsome salary. Finally those clubs that are currently more attractive, all seem to have stable, or new managers!
