I have a quiz question for which I will not be giving a prize. When was the last time Spurs sat top of the league?
I have been following football since 1971 and I reckon you'd have to go back to the eighties to find them top with 9 or more games gone. Pretty sure they were never top when Leicester won it, nor the year after when I think they ended up 2nd. Anyone know? Raver?

I can't remember Spurs ever being top at any point to be fair, if they were it was a fleeting occasion.
I think in the 80s they had about 5 games in hand and if they won them all they would be within 2 wins of the team in 1st place and people calling them title contenders :-) .
If Liverpool don't win it this season I reckon Spurs have as much chance as most, but I am pretty sure it will be Liverpool, phew :-)
Imagine if Spurs did win it? You'd have to expect a Spurs title win to coincide with Liverpool City and Chelsea all being relegated that same season such would be the level of weirdness required for it to actually happen :-) ,

You can mock all you want, currently they are in a much better state than we are . JM is currently laughing at us and I bet he still will be at the end of the season.
