I know this is a wild idea and highly unlikely to materialise, but what would people think about bringing back Wilshere on a short-term deal? IMO he's the exact type of creative midfield player we need. Watching the city game was extremely frustrating because whenever we won the ball back in midfield it always some how (and for some reason) ended up back at Leno's feet and we were being pressed to no end. I get that this was maybe Arteta's secret plan to draw city players forward and we may have managed to conjure up a chance if we could beat the press but it was awful to watch especially in the first half where we only really created one chance (Saka) . Jack has the ability to actually drive the ball forward whether it be via dribbling or risking forward passes. I'd be curious to see what people think, he knows and loves the club and I think it'd be worth a punt because we are still clearly lacking creativity in midfield with Ozil being frozen out.

Jack has had his chance with us unfortunately and would only sit on the bench or be injured, if he was half the player that his early career promised he would still be with us and West Ham would have definitely not released him.

I'd much rather bring back Denis Bergkamp, far greater abilty and even given his age would still be able time play more minutes over a season than Jack.
I don't think Jack has an English premier league future but he might be able to make both a living and impact in a slower paced less physically demanding league.
When Jack was on loan at Bournemouth and he was allowed to operate 15 yards either side of the half way line at walking pace he managed to stay available for 3 or 4 unbroken months but that sort of cotton wool treatment is unlikely to offered by anyone else in the premier league.

I can understand why we would look at it but that’s more Hollywood story ending than real life. He’s not got a good enough record to get enough games under his belt to make an impact. I’d rather we used our existing talent and see what needs to be added in jan or summer. Until Mikel works out you can’t drive with the handbrake on, it’s pointless anyway. We have enough talent in the club to play this role. Without adding Jack.

I've no idea how much truth there is in it but I read Arteta has told Mesut to force his way back in the squad. Because of the politics it sounds unlikely to be true but maybe just maybe someone at the club has accepted he's not going anywhere so we might as well let him play.

Hope we 62 as we need that spark. With Partey - we could afford a much needed creative luxury plus PEA playing central not LW

Hi SY mate, the job is brilliant thank you mate I absolutely love it :-) . I feel so so lucky to get it at any time but given the current employment situation across the country I feel even more lucky.
I'd love to see Mesut brought in from the cold mate, I just hope it's true.
