Apparently we're thinking of sending Saliba out on loan to Rennes for further development! This club continues to make me laugh everyday 😂 the kids got talent, he's got desire and since when has age mattered? Saka, Bellerin, TAA, Rashford, Rooney, Ramsey, Wilshere, Walcott, the list is endless. You have to play them and let them grow in to the game. I agree that they need to be nurtured but his development can come in the EL, League Cup and FA cup at least for his first full season. Sending him out on loan will hinder him in my opion rather than help him. He needs to be with the Arsenal group, learning their process, training with them week in week out and getting opportunities. Look at Foden, Curtis Jones etc. Manage them internally but carefully I say.

Read Ed002s comment on the rumours page Gunner mate. It's certainly not merely a journalist looking for hits and Arteta, in so many words, has basically confirmed that he needs another year away to develop. I honestly don't think he does and I think he would develop more playing a handful of games in the cups, whilst being around the squad everyday sharing the success, the pain and the experience of a Premier league season. Arsenal are desperate to get non-homegrown players out the door mate and realisticly he's the only one that would get snapped up tomorrow. Next summer Mustafi's contract is up and he comes back 🤷ðŸ»â€â™‚ï¸.

Just shows I should check out the rumours page before responding t posts on the banter page and putting my foot where my Kebab belongs ;-) ,
The whole Saliba loan thing is just so bizarre I immediately thought either only Sky, a UK tabloid or the Simpsons story writers could come up with it but it seems not. Of course the Simpsons did correctly predict Donald Trump becoming president back in 2002, although they explain their uncanny prediction by saying it was just the silliest idea they could come with at the time, seems Arsenal are about to Trump even the Simpsons.

It’s the same as the whole sending Holding out on loan news. Why have one of the best training facilities in the world, along with top coaches, medical options and a squad of internationals and then send a player out on loan to a club with substantially less and expect them to improve. Will playing some first class games in the french league improve Saliba more than training against Lacazette and Aubameyang everyday under the instruction of the manager you eventually hope to play for? Personally I don’t think so.
