Hey ED, could you give us some clarity.
If rumours are to be believed, AM want LT, and we want Partey.
A player + cash looks like a win-win for everybody. So why are they so insistent on Arsenal meeting the release clause while they have the nerve to put in an offer for LT on loan with an option to buy?

That seems mighty convenient of them. Pay up a release clause because we need the money.
But when we want one of your players, be accommodating and let him leave on a loan with an option to buy!

The thing is, no one is forcing us to accept that deal kts, if we don’t like it we can walk away. I would even suggest actually keeping Torreira and playing him in the correct position, especially if we are not getting the offers WE want. We might realise what a good player he is when played as a DM, and save ourself a few quid to boot.

I don't think Torreira is wanted Epping mate, he obviously doesn't want to be at Arsenal and Mikel has shown absolutely no interest in playing him, it's a strange situation because he's decent player in book.

If nothing comes of it. We should give LT a chance in his natural position at DM.
He performed really well in the early days, until Emery went all Sarri on him and started deploying him further up.
I feel he can still do a job for us, and given Mikel's temperament of improving players, there is obviously more than enough talent in LT to nail down a spot.

Or why not just sign Marc Roca for E15M, as that's the replacement lined up by AM.

I would rather have LT over Roca! Atleast he is now PL ready and he is a handy player.
Just needs game time and arteta to have some faith in him. Given the no. of clubs interested including AM, the talent is adequate.

LT is a great little player and exactly what we need in the middle of the park, a pitbull that’s going to hassle n hound the opposition, he’s great at winning the ball back.
I for the life of me can’t understand why he’s not being picked, for me he should be starting every game for us.
But. in Mikel I trust

I think most fans would like to see Torreira given a chance under Arteta but for some reason it just hasn't and doesn't look likely to happen.
I'm not sure if it's more clubs politics as with Mesut or player attitude with Guendozi or just Mikel doesn't rate him. There has to be a reason he's not been given a chance at all under Arteta.

I fear it’s mostly because our managers don’t want to play both a DM and Xhaka as a deep lying playmaker as it’s very negative. That’s why when LT has played he has had to be the box to box midfielder. I fear that Partley will also have to take up that role.

Happily see Torriera go - too small and weak and falls over too easily. We need a beast not Torriera. Sorry but him and Granit wouldn’t scare anyone.
