Massive FM20 fan and thought I'd try my luck with Arsenal, first season I sold Calum Chambers, Sokratis, Mustafi and Kolasinac, brought Tagliafico and Rugani and loaned in Stefan Savic, finished 3rd, won Carabao Cup and got to Europa League final. What do you reckon lads, should I hand in my CV now or wait for Arteta to have a go?

I saw an interview on BBC site a few years back with a bloke who played football manager and took it very seriously. He was saying clubs should consult him on which youngsters to buy because he was already playing the 2023/ 24 season and could tip them off about which players came good and which ones didn't.
I really wanted to meet that man so I could sell him tower bridge and some really special clothes only clever people could see.

Lol gunner you laugh at that but if you have a Google around it has been known in the past that some clubs has used football manager for scouting. Can't remember the exact details.

I know Epping mate:-) I think his name was Burty Basset, takes all sorts I guess :-)
I did read something about that happening D16 mate, I think Notts County Torquay and Plymouth all used that system if I remember correctly :-)

To be fair I definitely don't see the game in any way to be 100% accurate regarding what to expect in the future player wise. But there are some players I heard about in the game long before they were being spoken about in the real football world, Tonali, Berge, Dani Olmo, Martinelli and Frankie Dr Jong as a few examples. I do believe that some clubs have turned to the Football Manager scouting to find players and who can blame them with the scouting network they have?
Obviously don't believe the mastering the game means you're in any way cut out for real life management but given how my first season went, you all know where to come if it doesn't go well for Arteta 😂 COYG.

Just out incase a vacancy should emerge, is your management ethos more of a 5 3 to the Arsenal is better than 1 0 to the Arsenal or the other way around?
Careful how you answer as your chances of getting to the interview stages could depend on it mate!

Attacking football all the way for me G62 mate, don't agree with parking the bus at all. That's never what fans want to see. I'd also try my absolute hardest to kick Ozil out! He can have my fiancée if he wants as long as it means getting him off the wage bill 😂.
