So a young man who has been with Arsenal since the age of six decides to leave for the bright lights of Wolverhampton. He can obviously see Wolves are about to make a serious challenge. Abamayang next?

Or he wasn't in the managers plans so made a career choice?
Where as Auba is very much in the managers plans and will make a financial v ambition choice if an option becomes available to him from a club who are better placed then Arsenal are currently to compete for the biggest trophies
There is no comparison between Auba and Mainland Niles regarding their Arsenal choices.

Unfortunately AMN is not in Arteta’s plans and the two options were Wolves and Spurs . Given that I’d choose Wolves and I’ve been there COYG 😂.

It’s a shame, but the fact we played Elneny in central midfield yesterday Shows just how little chance AMN has of ever representing Arsenal in that position. I can only think Elneny just pipped a local seagull to play CM, and he only got the nod as we are hoping to flog him as well, and we have no takers. Yes it was only a friendly, but once again it was shocking how easy MKD could pass the ball around midfield in our half of the pitch. A lot of that is down to our shape and style, but instead of buying every available CD in Europe, it once again showed how we really need to sign a central midfielder. If Arteta thinks an Elneny/ Xhaka midfield partnership will power us into the top 4 he is seriously deluded. He seems to be trying to build that top car, and has invested heavily in the chassis and interior, but only to leave the engine as a hamster in a wheel.

{Ed047's Note - sounds familiar Epping 🤦‍♂️

It's possible Mikel and the club will send us into the new season with Mikel and Elneny as our middle two but how likely is it really?
I'm not saying we will sign superstar names for our midfield but with Mainland Niles and Guendozi both unlikely to be Arsenal players next season I think it's reasonable to assume Mikel and the club must have plans to bring someone in from somewhere.
Although I think Partey is a total pipe dream.

Sorry that was meant to say Xhaka and Elneny in our middle two not Mikel and Elneny:-)
Although if things got that bad it might happen :-)

I'm starting to miss the days when Wenger would throw 7 CMs into our starting lineup!
