So raul sanllehi is gone. Never anticipated that as he seemed to be the top dog at arsenal seeing as he is the one who pushed mislintat out.

what seems to be going on at Arsenal seems to be a power struggle, fueled by absentee owners with little knowledge about european football. The kroenke's hands-off approach is hurting the club more and more.

In my humble opinion, A new, well experienced CEO should be appointed, someone who can vastly improve our commercial deals. We also need to appoint a new technical director as i don't think Edu is good enough. Marc overmars, monchi, ocampos or even rangnick who is without a job now are some of the names we should target.

Finally, i believe the arsenal board should be re-constituted, a new chairman appointed with a representative of the arsenal supporters trust added to the board. I also believe a former arsenal player should be added to the board.

{Ed047's Note - from what has been previously reported, Josh Kroenke was going to be very much hands on and maybe he is driving these changes as they would have to come from the top.

As for supporters or ex players joining the board, I would say, not a chance.

It's a shame we lost Sven.

{Ed047's Note - it makes you wonder what they were thinking Sally, he had such a great reputation and seemed exactly what we needed.

Sven leaving was a bad decision on sanllehi's part. It was at that point that i started questioning Raul. Sven's track record was far much better than raul's. What made the problem worse was that sanlehhi never replaced Sven with an adequate replacement. when we were linked with monchi i was over-joyed but then he ended up bringing Edu who was an underwhelming appointment.

Svens leaving was a huge blow in our attempt to get back to the top.
No one can question Leno Torreira Guendozi and even Papa arrived in good shape regardless of what's happend to their Arsenal careers between then and now, Svens abilty to spot a player at a good price was Just what we needed.

16 Aug 2020 14:23:04
John all those layers except Leno are crap

Come on mate that’s no argument.

16 Aug 2020 15:13:50
They weren't when they arrived Mark mate, Torreira was hailed as the midfield player we'd been missing Guendozi was winning plaudits from everyone not mention a place in world champions France squad while Papa was seen as a good solid CB at a bargain price.
2 seasons at Arsenal under Emery Freddie and Mikel may have changed people's views on them but it doesn't change what good singings there were on arrival and how good they initially looked in an Arsenal shirt.

16 Aug 2020 16:25:23
i would rather go with Sven's approach than Raul's. Most of Sven's signings are cheap and young players so even if he gets it wrong like say for example torreira we can resell the player but Raul signs expensive old players with no resale value. How on earth can you justify giving a 29 year old Southampton reject a 4 year contract at a club where the purse strings are tight? How? that alone deserves a sacking. what is the justification for giving willian a 3 year contract?

16 Aug 2020 17:11:37
Totally agree Punani mate, let's see how much we recover and profit from Torreira and Guendozi sales, I'd say it will compare very very favourably to what we will eventually get back on Pepe's 70 million investment.
Plus it will be interesting to see how both Torreira and Guendozi post Arsenal careers go! My guess is they will follow in the Ox footsteps and flourish elsewhere.

{Ed047's Note - The Ox has done no different to what he did here as far as form and ability goes he just happens to be part of a winning squad.

Still hit and miss, still MIA with injuries.

Don’t believe we miss him at all and it will be interesting to see what “higher level” football Guendouzi plays next season. 🤔

Oi Stoner / Ed047, don't burst G62's bubble by slating the Ox. He still thinks he's world class.

Hi G62!

16 Aug 2020 18:08:29
Hi Sharpie mate really good to see you back again, hope all is good with you geezer.

16 Aug 2020 18:17:45
Lol sharpie

Not just me that worked it out.

Time will tell on both Torreira and Guendozi Ed047 mate, Jurgen and the Liverpool fans seem very happy with what the Ox is doing in their midfield, a position in which Arsenal couldn't find room for him in.

While those who were preferred to Ox at Arsenal, Jack Aaron and Theo all seem to have been totally exposed outside their Arsenal security blankets since leaving.

Ox always looked like a winner to me but he just needed a coach who trusted and believed in him to help him belive in himself in his best position.

{Ed047's Note - he hardly plays in midfield for them though 62, he isn’t even first choice for that position, he is in reality a squad player for them as he was for us.

You could probably count on one hand the amount of really great games he’s had for us and them combined.

Don’t replace trophies won for actual ability on the pitch. I’m not saying he’s garbage but he’s still not and likely never will be the player we hoped he would turn into.

Aaron’s just won the league with Juventus, was he also nothing more than a squad player?

16 Aug 2020 19:02:46
He definitely struggled for consistency with us Ed047 mate but how many times did he play 90 minutes in an Arsenal shirt apart from as a make shift wing back, no matter how well he played Arsene always subbed him or started him on the bench.

His options when leaving Arsenal were Chelsea or Liverpool not too shabby options to have.

I think Juve have told Aaron he's free to leave after his one season with them.

{Ed047's Note - what options he had or how he struggled here are pretty irrelevant 62, it’s how good you are making him out to be and in truth it’s no better in spurts than he was here.

He’s won medals as a squad player in one of the best teams on the planet but he is not a starter in that team by any stretch mate.

16 Aug 2020 19:34:01
He's always looked in good form when I've seen him at Liverpool and I think the lads done well for them while virtually every Liverpool fan I've spoken to really rate him.

{Ed047's Note - clearly an easily pleased bunch! 😉 like I said though, not saying he’s rubbish but simply just not that good either.

If he was he would be one of the first names on the team sheet and he simply isn’t my friend.

Same as he was here. 🤷‍♂️

16 Aug 2020 20:02:39
None the less he played in 30 Liverpool games last season and 32 in his first season with them, while at Arsena 29 in a season was his most by some distance due to being boosted by his wing back use :-)
