Just seen a report some players aren't happy with the redundancies as they were told their pay cuts would avoid this situation.

Be nice if it's true Sally and the players take action in order to get those who've lost their jobs reinstated, that would be a very heart warming good news story.
But the old sceltic in me can't help but feel it's a smoothing of the waves to come story ready for when some players get a huge pay rise in the weeks ahead.
I'd love to be wrong but my sceltical mind is definitely thrashing my hopeful mind on this one I'm afraid :- (.

I reckon the players are looking at it on a human level Gunner, just plain wrong, especially if the club are gearing up for more influence from the super agent.

Be nice to think the players care Sally, only one way we know for sure.

It will be interesting to see which player leads on this if they challenge the club Gunner!

I didn't actually expect the players to get involved Sally but if this story is to be believed they have involved themselves and good on them for doing so if true.
It's impossible to know who is leading the player voice if it exists but it would obviously be a nice Story it was Auba who said I'll sign a new contract on the old wages to help save the 55 jobs, wouldn't it be lovely!

Strangely Gunner I think it might be Mesut.

I love Mesut Sally but unless he's prepared to take a pay cut himself to help save people's jobs he's not in the best position to talk about how the club makes its financial decisions is he, it might be best coming from someone else in my opinion :-)

Fair point Gunner. I was under the impression he didn't take a cut because he wasn't happy with what would be done with the money saved. I believe he supports a lot of good causes and decided to carry on with that instead of giving it back to the hierarchy, which is what he feared. The fact that he is a guy with a social conscience leads me to think it could be him leading a revolt (or perhaps I'm just a revolutionary haha) .
