Hi ed001, wondering if you can give your perspective on arsenal and Arteta from what you have seen from them since the restart mate.

{Ed001's Note - honestly you look to be getting worse, that could be in part due to tiredness but, putting aside the result, you were abysmal yesterday. Arsenal created just one chance for themselves in the entire 90 minutes. That has to be a worry when your team has a defence as poor as yours. I really do worry that Arteta is no better than Emery, maybe even worse.}

Agree0 Disagree0

That’s a bit harsh ed

You battered us and never broke us down

To say there has been no improvement is just a typical scouser point of view😀😀😀.

{Ed001's Note - we created plenty of chances, you are seeing what isn't there. We should have scored at least one more and on a normal day you don't get those 2 chances handed to you. If you think that is not being broken down, then you are blind. Give up the weed, it is clearly giving you hallucinations!}

Look it’s funny I thought you were going to say something positive! It just shows that everyone has different opinions and perspective on football! Thanks for that Ed.

{Ed001's Note - I am not sure what there is positive to say. Your defending is as bad as under Emery but your attack is worse, in large part because Arteta is freezing out players and refusing to use Lacazette enough. Lacazette was your best player last night, he was far too good for the team he was paired with. You have to remember that was a Liverpool team mentally on the beach, yet you created nothing until right at the end. That is seriously worrying when your strength is attack! The only positive I can think of is that Arteta is young and learning so might improve.}

Haha, I love are little chats.

{Ed001's Note - me too mate ;-). I am surprised by what you said though. I was shocked at how bad Arsenal were yesterday. If it had been Jose or Allardyce in charge, then I could put it down to pragmatism, you had the goal so he was telling them to sit back. However Arteta doesn't do that. His plan is to get hold of the ball, so it has to be a major worry when you can't and his subs failed to change anything. He needs to put aside his beef with Ozil and pick him, it is doing no good to freeze out players when games are coming so thick and fast. Every body is needed so that you can ensure tired legs don't cost results.}

I must say Ed I do believe our shape has improved greatly.

{Ed001's Note - Roy Hodgson can improve shape in a matter of days, Arteta has had months now and if that is all he has achieved then questions need to be asked.}

I think Arteta is looking at results before anything else

I still think he set up for a dress rehearsal for the semi final

Ozil is not worth a bollox, he has had 3 managers at arsenal now and he’s done squat.

Lacazette is playing his balls off because he’s looking for a new club

Wenger has ruined arsenal, the fall out could be here for another 5 years or so.

{Ed001's Note - Ozil is a scapegoat, he creates chances. Lacazette is your best player, has been since the day he signed but somehow Aubameyang gets the armband. I don't blame Lacazette for leaving, you don't look like a team going anywhere but down. You are now behind Sheff Utd and Wolves. What will it be next season? Everton can't be as bad then, so you might be struggling for the top half next! I just don't see Arteta as the answer, but only time will tell on that and fingers crossed I am wrong.}

To be honest ed I can’t work out what’s going on
I’ll just keep on supporting my club

Hope you and your family stay safe

Congrats again you whining old git😀.

{Ed001's Note - I just think you picked the wrong manager for the time. Long term he might turn out to be the right choice, but it is going to be short term pain while he learns the ropes.

You too mate, I hope you are all well. Are you still in Malaga? My parents returned to the UK a couple of years ago from Spain after about 6 or 7 years living there.

Cheers mate, I am enjoying it, it makes a nice change to celebrate and not care about results!}

No mate I sold the villa in Malaga last October
I’ve been pretty lucky buying and selling property
I too many Russian gangsters in the costa del sol now

I was looking at lanzarotte in the future

Are you still in Dubai.

{Ed001's Note - I thought you were a Russian gangster?

I am in Dubai for now, but almost certainly returning soon. Though hopefully just for the short term until things pick up again.}

Honestly i'm not expecting us to improve next season with no money and Arteta being so inexperienced. My hope is that the academy will produce good talent and that Arteta will learn and improve but for now i see the trend pointing downwards still. Decent recruitment wouldn't hurt either but it seems the management is not interested in such nonsense xD.

I don't understand why Ozil isn't played either. Best player by a country mile.
Midfield is nonexistant, noone can pick a pass, no longer look like a team who can score, can barely muster a chance.
Not going to call for Artetas head or anything, but the early signs aren't great.
Pepe isn't looking like a great signing after his first season. how much did he cost again?
Auba is going to leave, probably laca too, doom n gloom in the arsenal camp! But we did pull off a smash n grab on the beach dwelling champions, and we still have our invincible season in tact.

None of Arsene Emery or Arteta were/ are big Ozil fans but all were/ are Xhaka addicts and Mustafi partial.
