Hello everyone, our defensive frailties came back to haunt us once, again, but there is still positives about where we are at the moment. Defense wise, the center backs need sorting, but it needs, sound investment, not where we end up worse what we already got. That's where Mislintat would have been so good for us. Martinez, Tierney, Saka, Xhaxa, Ceballos have all been pluses, for me. Auba we need to keep, but not get us in a position like with Ozil, lot of money, lot of nothing. Pepe (needs more time) Lacca (despite his goal yesterday, would move him on, likewise, Ozil, Mustafi, Kolinseac, Sokratis.
Bellerin (? not consistent, enough)
Guendozi (? got passion also got a big ego)
Torriera, if his heart is at the club, keep him.
Leno, Soares, Mari, Holding and all the youngsters all keep.
Going to stick my neck out,
Liverpool, draw
City, we
win on penalties
Villa, win
Watford, draw
Utd
Arsenal 3-1 Man Utd.

Nice score predictions TG mate but I fear they are based on wishful thinking alone. I think both Liverpool and City will just be way to strong for us unless they have a rare but possible really poor day by their standards plus we have one of our very very best days, we really do need everything to work in our favour in these two games to get a positive result. As for Watford and Vila games they won't effect our season one way or the other so will be difficult games for the players not to at least thinking of being in the beach, not trying be negative just realistic
On a happy note next season isn't that far away and new season brings new beginnings for everyone.

Sadly we are a long way behind Liverpool and Man City. Football has moved on, yet we are still trying to play the exact same way we did 10 years ago. We should get well beaten by both, and it will be a timely reminder in the gulf between us, an at best upper mid table team, and the top. This at least will remind our manager and board what we need to do to try and re-join the elite. Part of this is to try and bring in one or two better players, in the positions we need (IMO midfield, and if possible CD) . These can’t be “squad” signings, they need to be two players who are well established, experienced and will be the first names on the team sheet each week. They won't come cheap, and maybe we can’t afford them, but we can try and clear out some of those Established “squad” Players to help pay for what we need, plus maybe one top tier player who we should be able to sell despite the current environment. This should be Lacazette, as we need to get Martinelli, Nelson, Saka and Nketiah either closer to, or actual regulars in the first eleven next season, which won’t happen, especially for Nketiah, as long as Lacazette is in the team. By far the most that needs to happen for us to improve is to change our football style, to get the ball forward much quicker than current, or at least to understand how to beat the press if we continue to religiously play out from the back. Personally, I would rather we moved away from the back 3 (it’s a back 5 really as both wingbacks are just fullbacks) , as I think it’s negative, and sends a message we are poor at the back, so instead of playing two poor defenders we are going to sacrifice a a potential forward player by playing A 3rd rubbish center half instead. Ok that’s the negatives, but the positives are the youngsters, who just need some decent experienced players alongside, and the manager (hopefully) . It seems like we are a mile away from where we need to be, but actually, it just needs a couple of things to click, and we will be a lot closer to the top than current.

Back Arteta next season regardless of which way he chooses to go regarding players formations team selections ect whether that's same old same old or brave and new but judge him as other managers are judged.

If Jose doesn't make Spurs top 6 next season he will be gone. If Lampard fails to get Chelsea top 4 next season he will be sacked why should it be any different at Arsenal? In my opinion top 6 is a fair target to set Mikel in his first full season and if he fails he shouldn't be yet another Arsenal protected species like Arsene, Wiltshire Theo, Mertersacker and so on.
Let him stand or fall by his own merits not on how much we like him.
