How was a Mustafi - still on his arse diving in and being reckless.
Where was Luiz’s calming influence and communication to keep us organised or was he too busy drifting out of podpsition.
We can never have a decent defence with those two in it - simple. Every striker knows they both got an error in them. If you don’t see that 🤷â€â™‚ï¸
With Adams, Bould, Sol, Keown, Toure - strikers knew they had to work for a goal.
We are back in the Cygan and Djourou days with these two.

The opinions We argue for and defend will always be ours mate :-)
I'm not knocking you or even saying your wrong but only that the opinions We hold on players before a game are usually the same after a game. If we really like a player we tend to notice their best bits and overlook their mistakes and vice versa. Confirmation bias I think it's called.

True but we moan we aren’t ruthless with players, too soft and loyal. We moan we can’t defend and been useless for 5 to 10 years - see a player five in stupidly twice on Kane and once with Son plus numerous other times. Yet we are happy to sign him and Luiz. Isn’t that what we were livid about with Wenger yet here we are saying we are okay with Luiz and Mustafi to sign - probably just in case it happens. Where’s our ambition and how are we going to ever defend properly if we don’t have proper defenders.
I’m tired of us being soft in defence - the alternate view is. he put in a normal shift with too many errors. No bias just fact. He did some decent stuff but always a liability - same as luiz. Today - Luiz did fine. But his partner was poor as was Kola. We need a change - sorry. Not extensions so it’s more of the same

Fair comment SY mate, apart from the FA cup this season is done for us and in reality next season is what matters. We judge the manager on the teams he picks and how those teams perform for him and us over a season. It is and has to be Arteta"s party and if we all enjoy the ride it won't really matter what individual selections he makes but the overall collective outcomes at the end of next season.
At the end of the day the buck stops with the manager and personally I couldn't care less if he plays Macey Kol Mustafi Luis Papa Xhaka Pepe in every game next season if the results and performances are good and equally it's of no use to me if he plays my favourite 11 each and every week if we are no better than this season next season.
Individuals quality is personal opinion results are facts and good performances and good results usually ( obviously not always) go hand in hand.
I'm happy to let Mikel to do it his way next season and take it from there.
