Didn't see the game, how was Xhaka? And how did Mustafi and Holding do?

Agree0 Disagree0

All 3 played very well Gunner mate. Xhaka's variation of passes was actually nice to see. He moves the ball on a lot faster than Guendouzi and it works. Mustafi and Holding were solid together and Holding got MOTM. Stuck his head on everything that came his way and dealt with it. Overall, was it a convincing performance that filled me with excitement? No. However, a very disciplined performance defensively and a clean sheet with 2 young guns getting on the scoresheet. Nketiah was my MOTM but Holding did play very well. It wouldn't be fair to leave Saka out also, another bright and confident performance by him to.

Mustafi and Holding did well

Xhaka still sloppy with his passes, he contributes little for someone in his position.

That's good to hear Glen mate, last time I saw Holding properly he had the worst game imaginable so it's nice he got M. O. M tonight.
Xhaka moving the ball quickly? That must have been a nice sight mate.
It says so much about Saka that I didn't feel the need to ask about him, fantastic young talent mate.

Xhaka wasn't sloppy at all tonight Banbury? In fact, he actually showed us what we miss when he isn't in the side. He has errors in him and I'm not going to sit here and say he's brilliant but today he brought balance, leadership and some good distribution to our midfield. He was the most vocal player on the pitch throughout and we needed that after the last 2 matches.

Fair assessment on the players mentioned, Saka consistent as was mentioned in the commentary. Although I would Xhaka didn’t get is range of passes accurately enough for me. Overall a lack of diagonal and through passes from middle field and playing with too much nerves. I guess it’s the fear of losing again but a discipline team performance and you could see more fluency near the end after going 2 nil up. Good running and energy from Nketiah that brought us the opening goal.

The midfield needs inspiration. Three points, thank you.

Sounds like Martinez, Holding and Saka were stand out performances. Well played boys!

I don’t understand the slate which Xhaka gets, he kept the midfield ticking yesterday. As others say, he wasn’t his usual self in terms of passing, but did a lot better in terms of receiving the ball from the CBs and moving it forward.

{Ed0666's Note - you don’t understand why Xhaka gets stick? Have you ever seen him play?

Bellerin was our poorest man on the pitch. I think we need to let him go now, he will clearly never hit the ceiling we set for him.
The guy couldn't even get a pass right yesterday. And I think getting a great RB might bring the best out of Pepe.

Yes, I do. And he might not the be a great, but he doesn’t deserve the slate he gets! Three different managers has played him every week, which means they have valued him. He sure can’t be that bad.
