Hello Ed, I see the transfer target list you made but wanted to ask if you think arsenal will be bringing anyone in this transfer window? We have limited funds because of the Pepe transfer.

{Ed002's Note - I cannot answer about timings with any confidence.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks, I just saw the list of out goings you posted today. Wanted to ask if the coaches and staff at arsenal don’t rate Pepe?

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what Arteta thinks but someone no longer associated with the club who I trust thinks it was a terrible mistake at the stupid price paid.}

I agree with whoever that person is 100% on the Pepe signing, it was a crazy statement signing from Josh Edu Raul and Emery in order to show the clubs ambition, wrong player for all the wrong reasons at completely the wrong price, but having said all that he's here now and it's up to Pepe and Arteta to pick up the pieces and do all they can turn the situation around as best as possible.

Got to say I don’t think it’s fair to right Pepe off just yet. He’s clearly very raw and has so far struggled to settle into the Prem, but looking at this track record at City I have confidence that Arteta can be the man to get the best out of him. Also worth noting that in the last 3 games we have won Utd, West Ham and Vitoria Pepe has been directly involved in a good proportion of the goals we have scored. Maybe it’s just the win over United in the last game, but I’m feeling very optimistic at the moment and I’m really excited to see how Pepe does for the rest of the year under Arteta’s tutorage!

I agree Jack. You can't write him off yet, the guy was just as confused as the other players when Emery was at the helm and I believe Arteta will get the best out of him. Arteta was praised highly for the work he done with both Sterling and Sane so he needs to time to work collectively and individually with the players he has. He has already publicly praised Pepe and believes he has all the talent and ability to be one of the best wingers in the world so let's see how he progresses.

Hopefully he will prove a 72 million bargin in the long run Jack, I didn't know much about him before he arrived but I would have preferred Zaha prior Pepe arriving but I still hopeful he way make me think differently long term.

72m might be just over, but think about how we will pay it makes it a little better. As for his skills and contributions I think we might have to wait and see, I believe this kid will do extremely well under the right system, he's still young and he is not scared to take on defenders, yes sometimes it doesn't come off but just remember when ronaldo started at man u, he had some awful games, fluffed his dribbling many many times and look where is he now, so imo he will be one of the best in the PL.

There is definitely potential there but equally that can be said of lots of other players too, attitude determination dedication effort commitment to being everything you can possibly be is quite often the difference between the likes of Ronaldo Mbappe and the rest, how much does Pepe want it? We will definitely find out in the coming m9nths and years.
