Reports of a bid of £25m for Xhaka. I would like to see us try to get back the £35m we paid for him and bring in a replacement.
I would like to see us also sign a CB and a quality RB, that can tackle.
Upamecano would be a good CB, who could form an exciting young CB pairing with Saliba next season. In the summer I would move out Chambers, Mustafi and Sokratis. Keep Holding and Luiz for the final year of his deal.
Any suggestions who to bring in at RB?
DM, Ndidi from Leicester would be decent and Partey from Athletico.

How many years have you subscribed to the Luiz fan club? It’s a new year in less than a week - ask for 2020 money back and Ditch him like you did Emery once you realised he’s a terrible fit and can’t defend 😂😂
Have you heard of the story of the “The Emperor's New Clothes†- that’s Luiz and people think he’s got a epl standard defenders Jersey on. he's done it at a number if clubs with only a few calling him out because of his medals .

I actually think Luis has been one of our least worse players this season, he's come into the most exposed defence in Europe so I'd be shocked if he looked the most reliable he's ever been in his career but he's made some excellent tackles clearances and interceptions to go along with his mistakes.
Only Leno who has faced more shots than any other keeper in the league and Auba are having a decent season for us everyone else have struggled.

Bring in - Upamecano, Ndidi, I Sangare and M Dembele - address the spine and mentality.
Out - Granit, Laca, Mustaffi, Luiz, Papa, Torriera and PEA ( if unhappy) - raise plenty of money and free up wages

Sorry 62 - I’m not trying to force opinions but he’s useless. Gets drawn out of position, falls asleep in games and generally needs a Terry next to him to keep his shape. Main benefit is turning defence to attack quickly - that’s the last thing I’m concerned about. He’s cost us so many goals it’s a joke. Yes he’s exposed by our team but if you’re out of position then you’re simply out of position. Be it corners, be it people running at him, be it arguing with ref while opposition takes quick free kicks, be it silly tackles. he’s been a mess and can't be part of our future if we want a solid back 4. Let me ask you a question - could he get into the winterburn, Adams, Bould, Dixon defence. Could you mention along with - Keown, Adams, Campbell, Toure, Bould, O’leary The next tier down Vermaelen, Kos, Per, Gallas or more in the Djourou, Senderos, Paulista, Silverstra, Linighan bucket. For me he’s no where near a true defender like bucket 1, bucket 2 had weaknesses but still good defenders while bucket 3 weren’t quite good enough in my opinion although lovely people I’m sure especially Andy.

I think it's safe to say your opinion of Luis is not for turning SY or as Arteta would put it non negotiable :-) .
Personally I would most definitely play Luis as DM or as sweeper in a back 3.
I respect your right to say it as you see it mate just as I do my mates right to think Ed Sheeran is rubbish, life would be boring if we all see every exactly the same.

Why is Ed rubbish - writes his own songs, raps, sings, worked his ass off to get where he’s at and just had his 3rd diamond single.
You may not like his songs but you have to respect the artist.
I would rather him play DM than in my defence. Although he looked just as clueless when he played there also - people love his long range passes, floppy hair and the handful of goals he scores. I’d rather my defender stops the goals. He’s less dangerous to our team in DM but that’s not a great attribute to get into our team.
Don’t you think Holding for example is a more natural defender than Luiz. The two I’ve added aren’t they more defenders at heart? Would you drop any of them for Luiz?
I am for turning unlike that great Tory! 😜 I’ve not seen, heard or read anything to make me question my opinion. You know I like to challenge my opinion hence my questions on Emery and why I lost faith in Xhaka and admire Klopp. don’t bring up his medals - but where what player in the above team would you drop for him and how does he compare to Keown, Bould etc. 🤷â€â™‚ï¸ It’s a banter site.

Probably true but they also probably couldn’t believe their luck plus he’s comments on his defending seem spot on. he never said they sold him against his will but that they sold their worst defender to us.

And of course it's a banter site and totally respect you have your Luis thing going on much like RG has his Chambers infatuation Chief Inspector Dreyfus had his Inspector Clouseau obsession and I have a Xhaka appreciation malfunction that stops me seeing anything good about his game at all, as for my mate with his in abilty to appreciate Ed well I think he's best never mentioned again, especially after all the trouble he's caused today :-) :-) :-)

I used to argue with myself endlessly mate but after one particularly nasty disagreement I fell out with myself and haven't spoken to me since, I'm certainly not going to back down to me especially since I was the one in the right:-) ,
