Arteta is just another yes man who will do what he’s told with no money.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know that no one knows how Arteta will do but I just can’t see him turning this lot around, will there be any respect for him? Will he bring the fear factor into the changing rooms? I doubt it very much

As Ed has said his choice of back room staff will give us an indication

Let’s see.

Just wish we could give the guy some support We should all now be aware that we don't need a quick fix. If it is Arteta then get behind him and hope he can build a team over the next couple of seasons. Its not a case of being a yes man, the club work within financial restraints and as such will need time. I for one am glad that we didn't go Mourinhio.

I'm with you on Jose 100% Hootie mate.

18 Dec 2019 07:24:55
No one is saying they wouldn’t be behind MA they are questioning the clubs logic

Why on earth pick someone who has NEVER EVER managed a team before? At point when the club is lower than a low thing on a low day .

You’d look for experience, someone who has been there and proved he has the ability for the job

Massive massive gamble.

I’m 100% behind Arteta but I just think he’s the easy option of another yes man sit back and do as he’s told.

18 Dec 2019 11:17:04
Why would he leave city to come Arsenal to be Just a lacky Welsh mate, Why would he do that to himself?
Remember back in the summer how upset you were about us selling Auba to United?
Our own negative imagination can sometimes do an even better job than Sky news and twitter put together of filling our own heads full of absolutely nonsense, trust me I know:-)

18 Dec 2019 12:03:46
Gunner 62 I personally think, that the people who have been interviewed have been told what they have and what the club want from them and that’s why we are going with Arteta because nobody’s is willing to be a yes man apart from Arteta, but I’m behind the new man.

18 Dec 2019 12:34:39
But Welsh why would Artetta give up City for such a job mate? That makes no sense.
If it was someone without a job your theory would have a little more room for possible credibility but I can't see any possible reasons why Atatra would want to come on as a yes man, what's in it for him?

18 Dec 2019 13:57:47
Erm possibly to be Arsenal head coach 62, managers go 30 / 40 years without getting such an opportunity

Just a thought lol.

18 Dec 2019 14:55:01
So he will give up an extremely well paid and very enjoyable job working alongside top players and a very top manager each day to join Arsenal where he will give up his digmity and whole managerial future in order to become nothing but a yes man to Josh Edu and Raul?
And people wait up to 30 or 40 years for such an opportunity to become available you say?
Wow don't people do some strange things, makes you think why sometimes doesn't it :-)

18 Dec 2019 16:25:09
Of course he will doing the Arsenal FOC will he, daft response 62 but not surprised

As for the 30 -40 year wait, I think you know what I mean but again a silly response

He wants Arsenal on his CV, it’s not often you get the chance to manage a club like Arsenal, take it when you can regardless of what the offer is, MA won’t be anywhere near the top of other clubs lists, if on a list at all

Shows the plight of AFC.

18 Dec 2019 16:53:25
He doesn't want failed Arsenal manager on his CV that's for sure and if he was a yes man then of course he would accepting failure before he started.
He will only come if he himself thinks he can be a success and if conditions weren't acceptable he'd wait for a different opportunity where he did stand a chance.

Me may be daft and me maybe silly my old lover but I ain't so daft and silly as to think Artetta is anything like as daft and silly as I :-)
