If we are to miss on the top 4 again but win the EL would you guys call it a successful season for emery and arsenal?
For me EL is like playing Europe mid table teams and the least we can do os win it this season but for me top 3 is what I would call improvement.

Agree0 Disagree0

No Moe, for me he has to qualify through the league. We should have last season. This season is a must.

{Ed047's Note - I very much doubt he’ll achieve either to be honest.

The EL would be a trophy and qualify us for the CL, yes, of course.

Really don't think either will apply to Emery, think he's lost the fans players pundits and it's only when not of the board acts now.

He needs a huge show of support from the players in both performance and result v Wolves to see out the next 2 weeks in my opinion and I'm not sure he is capable of motivating and organising the player in order to get that response from them and for him.

We had the same question last year shows we’ve gone nowhere with very little if any improvements in performance.

After the money we have spent, top four no excuses.

Also considering OGS is doing terribly at utd and likely to lose his job, spurs are imploding and poch is likely to go, lampard is a rookie manager losing his best player and not being able to buy any replacements. If he can't get us in against them now, he's going to have no hope when they get their acts together.

Your discounting a very good looking Leicester then.

{Ed047's Note - and in our current guise we could literally lose to anyone.

We can’t beat sheff Utd or palace, so how we going to win the el 😂😂.

28 Oct 2019 20:38:18
The EL is a major trophy, I really enjoyed when we won it a few years ago. As for OGS doing terribly, we’re 3 points behind you despite missing penalties for fun this year.

City and Liverpool are certs, the rest is up for grabs. Chelsea look good right now but it’s a long season. Everybody else looks fragile so, it’s who steps up and takes their chance,

28 Oct 2019 20:48:01
To be fair AJH mate, you are terrible while we are just being made to look terrible :-)

28 Oct 2019 23:40:58
Ed mate, with the way we are playing you could be very right mate, I just don’t have any optimism for this season with set up we have, almost like last season counting on our rivals to drop so we can gain.

{Ed047's Note - Moe I can’t say Emery was my choice for the new manager and wasn’t what you might call over the moon with it.

But with the arrival of Torriera I thought that was a big step forward but even in that long unbeaten run it was still clear we were woeful defensively and the end of the season was just a mess from Emery.

Fast forward to this season and we still have all the disastrous traits of Wenger’s last years, no leader, no back bone, fall apart at the drop of a hat, the 5 captain joke, ostracising Ozil and looking like a team of individuals.

They got the wrong man, it should be more than clear now and they need to act.

29 Oct 2019 12:22:59
I don’t think he was anyone’s choice (fan wise) , and I doubt we will change him before the end of the season, especially there’s some fans thinks we have progressed under him.
His decision making is so bizarre like frizzing ozil out and keep picking xhaka.

29 Oct 2019 15:17:04
Emery clearly wasn’t anyone’s first choice, the club included. But something needs to happen and soon, if we continue like we are we will have no transfer budget for the next few seasons and will lose a lot of key players this summer with no european football.
