I’m fast losing my enthusiasm for Emery I was worried about him the moment he announced 5 captains, he doesn’t know his best side, he is blind to Xhakas lack of ability . I would be amazed if he is here in 12 months . and be warned PEA will be off too if this mediocrity carries on.

Honestly didn't think Xhaka was that bad against Watford, we collectively had an off day barring PEA. Ainsley in particular was awful.

To be fair Xhaka didn't look stand out bad v Watford but that's because the rest were bad too.
I now realise David Luis was a mistake, despite being a serial winner of big prizes he's never played without any protection as he's always had Matic or Kante or similar type players in front of him or beside him.
Our midfield doesn't protect our defence simply because it's not set up organised or designed to do that, our whole team is set up to in Emerys happy to win 5 3 philosophy but unfortunately for Emery the scoring 5 looks elusive while the conceding 3 always looks a distinct possibility in every single game wether we are playing Liverpool Watford or anyone else.

Xhaka could have scored 4 against Watford that wouldn’t doesn’t and shouldn’t change a thing, it was Watford, don’t even bring that as a defence.
