Just read a decent article on Emery which is neither declaring him a genius or a fool but quite simply suggests there questions about his methods that still need to be answered, apparently after we beat sours 4 2 last season we swapped systems 17 times over the next 24 matches which reminded me of Rafa Benitez at Liverpool who went 99 consecutive games without playing the same stating 11.
After reading the article in which Emery comes across really well as a person but it did make me think like Rafa he over thinks things and feels every individual game needs his specialist knowledge and influence rather than simply allowing and trusting his players to go out with a regular plan A they understand really really well and save plan B C D E and F for only when needed.
My opinion of Emery is now one of a very well meaning man who Just trys too hard and thinks way too much and his players just can't and probably don't want to keep up with his sleep eat drink think about football philosophy like he is happy too.
He really does need to simplify everything and trust his players by deciding on his best 11 to play his favoured system and use change sparingly.
Arsene refused to have a plan B while Emery it seems refuses to be restricted to just plan A and B or C he wants to use the entire Alpherbet so he personally can have influence in each and every game and cover every possible scenario he's already thought through 10 times in the build up to each game, I don't think it's an ego thing but more a over thinking over working thing.
