Great to see Nketiah netting his third goal whilst on loan at Leeds. A solid decision to send him out on loan where he can build his experience and confidence by playing regularly.
At best he will return to the squad at Arsenal next season and challenge for a first team spot. At worst his value will increase.

It's an ideal place for him to be this season in my opinion, 30 championship goals then return home next season.

{Ed047's Note - no pressure then!😉

Only 30 goalsG62!

Na not for this generation of young guns Ed047 mate, where our last generation shrunk like violets at the mere mention of the word expectancy and much preferred the word Potential and being wrapped in the Arsenal cosy bubble this new generation know it's a man's game once you get away from the comfy going through the motions shelter of the under 23s football.
These young guns don't want excuses and comfort blankets they want and demand opportunity and if they can't get it at Arsenal they will find it elsewhere, they certainly don't dream of being the next Jack or Theo they want to replace Rashford and Arnold as the most exiting young talent actually walking the Walk in the premier league not just taking the talk in the u23s :-) .

{Ed047's Note - I make you right mate and it’s great to see Willock and Nelson taking their chances with others waiting in the wings.

I’m thinking Eddie will do really well at Leeds which will stand him in good stead for next season.

So nice to see the back of the cosy club.

Absolutely Ed047 mate, Wilock looks a very good player now and is holding his own at the required level he's not someone who will be a very good player one day, maybe never.
I know I sounded harsh the other week when Eddie scored against Salford but that absolutely had to be only the beginning for him and he absolutely had to force his way into the Leeds team as a regular and very quickly become a prolific championship goal scorer.
Next summer when he returns to us he will Marcus Rashfords age now and if he couldn't do it at championship level with Leeds what real chance would he have at Arsenal in the premier league or of displacing Pepe Lacca Auba? It's no good thinking he will replace them in 3 or 4 years time, what when he's 25 :-)
This current young crop seem to be hungrier than previous crops and we shouldn't start feeding them a diet of endless understanding and patience but one of opportunities and high expectations, if they are good enough they will eat it up and if they are not well that's a shame but we can't revet back to being cosy if we want to be competitive again, it's one or the other.

{Ed047's Note - perfectly summed up mate, the club are now showing the older players the door and it should be no different for the youngsters any more.

If he only scores 30 I will be disappointed 😂.

28 Aug 2019 21:57:02
Yeah I know 737 mate but I was thinking he might only start 29 games :-)

Not sure what your point about Willock was there g62 - you saying he's never going to be good enough? He looks quality IMO, maybe almost as good as Ramsey already but without the injury history.

{Ed047's Note - I think he just added the word not by accident wire as everything else 62 says is positive about Willock. 🙂

29 Aug 2019 08:52:38
Thanks Ed047 mate :-) sorry for the confusion wire.
Wilock is there now doing it for real at Anfield and that's what we need to expect from anyone and everyone who wears and Arsenal shirt from now on.
No player should be able to live off past service or simply by being " Arsenal through and through" or simply be full of potential, the days of favouritism and cosiness need to be over if we want our future to be different to our past.
Wilock should most definitely retain his place on Sunday for no other reason than his performances this season merit his inclusion.
