Hopefully that blooper from Luis is one of his few this season. Leaving his man behind him out of sight is just stupid. Not the signing we wanted in my opinion and not disciplined enough to play as a CB pair
I can see Liverpool spanking us unless we sort that out.

Don't think he did that bad the deflection done him. Mate I think he will do well.

What Luis didn't put right a decade of defensive negligence in 90 minutes? What a waste of money he was then :-)
He joined a defence famous for its disorganisation mate even Van couldn't simply walk in and sort it on his own, it's got to be sorted on the training field with everyone working hard on it repeatedly.

I agree 62 but my fear with signing him is his lack of concentration and that showed then. The deflection exposed his poor positioning.

He's never been consistenly outstanding as an out and out CB but his passing range abilty to slip though key passes and drive the team forward have always been suited to being excellent in the DM or sweeper positions.
Poor defending is and has been a top and constant topic of conversation when talking about Arsenal for over a dozen years and it doesn't take a genius to work out that if Emery doesn't sort it out it won't be long before we are looking at his replacement to do so.
If its not sorted then the season progresses we will get exposed over and over as we were last season and the questions of Emerys ability to sort it will be asked louder and louder, sooner or later he's going to have to address the problem to keep his job.
