Looking forward to the tough games as two or three weeks in it focuses the minds early on and we have done better against the top 6 recently. Be interesting to see if attitudes are improving - so important COYG.

Actually looking forward to Burnley game too mate, be interesting to see if we can be disciplined in front of our home fans and not gift chances in the pursuit of excellence going forward.
If we can do that we show we've grown up as a team over the summer.

One game at a time. Looking forward to our first match of the season at home v Burnley. Team selection will be interesting. Would love to see a 4-3-3, with Aubameyang, Lacazette and Pepe up top. More likely to start with the Newcastle team, possibly with one or two changes. It’s great to feel the enthusiasm the signings have brought back.
Reports that Juve may terminate Khedira’s contract and he could join us. Not sure this will happen.

Exactly my thoughts Ed002. However, I read that Juve could terminate his contract and then he could sign for us. It didn’t make sense as clubs could abuse the use of termination after the window has closed, but this of course means no transfer fee.
{Ed002's Note - No, that is not allowed. The window is closed unless he was out of contract at the start of the last window - which he wasn't.}
