G62 and sy4 let's start the week with some positive posts.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think United will be much better this season than last Mark mate, how's that :-)

29 Jul 2019 17:04:41
Miserable git.

29 Jul 2019 17:45:05
Right I appreciate you didn’t ask me mate but here’s my positive post of the week.

I want to see this team put out by Emery as our go too starting 11.

Leno

Bellerin, Sokratis, Holding, Tierney

Ceballos, Torreira, Ozil

Aubameyang, Lacazette, Pepe

I want him to give them the right coaching and I think that team could then get top 4 no sweat!

How’s that for positive. 😁.

Sorry mate:-) I genuinely don't know what to want me to say? I do genuinely think we will be better to watch with Pepe in the team.
Last season i was excited because I genuinly thought Emery would come in and learn from Arsenes mistakes and put right the obvious bits that were already a decade over due.
This season I hope Emery will learn from his own mistakes of last season in not addressing the obvious weaknesses that have been there for a decade.
That's as good as I've got right now mate but I am 100% open to having my opinion changed by what I see on the pitch in the coming months, I want to be an Emery fan again but I have reason to think differently about him.

29 Jul 2019 18:04:15
I’m with you 62, until I see the back 4 sorted I can’t commit to a positive comment - let’s see if we’ve learnt but with Mustafi starting I fear not.

29 Jul 2019 18:15:46
You speak well expected so much different from emery but at the end it look like he also rolled over and played names instead of best legs.

Willock have done very well in all the preseason games but will he be given the chance especially as Torreira might not be fully ready.

Will Nelson play above Mhki?
Will Xhaka ever be benched when he has bad stint. Or is the rod only for Ozil?

Everyone should work themselves to get into the team even Auba and Laca esp with Nketiah so hungry and ready.

Emery must correct himself from the 1st game.

29 Jul 2019 18:23:46
I think the best anyone can do is call it as they honestly see it but be open to having their opinion changed Banbury mate.
It would be silly to forget everything you've seen before until you see something different that gives you reason to think differently.
I'd feel much more optimistic if Dick started talking about the importance of keeping clean sheets rather than being happy to take part in a 5 3 free for all, that's just not a professional or successful attitude I'm my opinion.

29 Jul 2019 19:39:53
Totally agree pm7 mate, we've got to stop thinking of our young players as potential and put them in and let them sink or swim, if they sink them let them go to a club where they can swim at the best price possible and if they swim then cash in on the older players they replace.
We need to stop being so patient protective and precious about our youth players and treat them as valued members of the squad who deserve a chance but equally they have to take that chance with both hands then demand to be respected equally to all older players in terms of opportunities.
Arnold at Liverpool got and took his chance and has played in 2 champions league finals since, at Arsenal he'd still be a bit part player living off injury cover and domestic cup football and Europa league early group stage games.

29 Jul 2019 19:53:44
Unless Emery realises like the rest of us and everybody else that xhaka is rubbish and should be dropped along with mustafi then I will get in the same boat with malaga mate.

29 Jul 2019 20:20:39
Emery lost many of us fans who were once delighted to have him Moe mate, it's up to him to win us back mate.
The more Xhaka struggles the more stick Emery will get for keep playing him and as for making him captain? All I can say is he must like the fans questioning his judgement on lots of issues.

29 Jul 2019 20:40:21
If can’t say anything good then don’t say anything at all.

Positive - we’ve improved our attack

I’m positive I Haven’t seen anything else to be positive about yet but the minute I see an ounce of improvement in coaching / organisational play and defending then I will be equally as positive as long as you are equally honest about how we are performing, defending an£ improving as a team.

Firstly - why are you so positive? What do you see changing in our defence that makes you so positive or is it just change that you like?

Looked like the same old weaknesses against Lyon on Sunday.

Deal? You honest and me positive where it’s earned?

29 Jul 2019 20:45:47
Arsenal fans are the most winiest, without those two season long injuries we were doing alright after that you make do with what you got and simply majority of those players have no balls a manager doesn't give you balls you either do or don't and we have too many bang average players, not sticking up for Emery but don't blame it all on him they messed up top 4 not emery, you can coach your team all you want but if some are brain dead, there's nothing you can do about it.

29 Jul 2019 21:32:40
And Liverpool injuries at the back last season? Spurs injury list? All teams get injury problems and if they all used them to excuse their managers then no managers would lose they're jobs ever.

29 Jul 2019 22:30:47
Did two defensive coaches get season long injuries?

30 Jul 2019 00:29:29
Ahh come on you guys whine a lot 🤫.

30 Jul 2019 09:03:45
Yeah we do :-)
But it's only because we want Arsenal to be the best Arsenal can be.
That doesn't have to mean champions or even top 4, if 4 teams are genuinely so much better then so be it but when we continue to make ourselves easy pickings and play Xhaka then it's frustrating.
