With less than 3 weeks to go until the window shuts I am feeling slightly depressed.

With first team players having departed, the sole signing we have made to date is 18 year old Martinelli, who is hardly likely to be a first team regular.

Strong rumours include:
Saliba - 18 years of age, not arriving until the 2020-21 season and at huge cost for a teenager with no guarantee he will make it at the top level.
Ceballos - a season loan deal. Which means if he performs well he will go back to Real Madrid at the end of next season, even if they would sell, a good season will mean an expensive purchase.
Tierney - Currently returning from injury and hardly a bargain at £25m.
Zaha - Offered £40m, Palace want £80m
Soares - A lot of 'noise', but nothing concrete. Will he settle into PL football?
Fraser - Bournemouth will allow his contract to run down.

We have about 19 days left, but we haven't replace Cech, Ospina, Ramsey, Welbeck, Lichtsteiner and it looks like Jenkinson and Koscielny, and possibly others will leave.

I agree that the lack of signings so far doesn’t give us much optimism, but there’s no reason why emery’s stated ‘3 or 4’ couldn’t happen in quick succession. Also with our youth players coming through, the only way they will ever be integrated into the squad is if they are actually given a chance to make a name for themselves and not be 3rd or 4th choice where they will hardly ever make an appearance. No better time for them to get the chance, if in a years time players like nelson, Willock, Nketiah, if they have offered nothing and don’t seem good enough for us then we can complain about the lack of transfers this summer, but we should get behind them and believe they can make it.

Ed002 Also stated we're lookig to fill the needed list of players.
For me, if there's anything to be depressed about is the mess in our structure and what it's seem to be the direction (or the lack of it) of the club.
Really hope all this is due the needed time to settle up all this massives changes, and not due an actual structural issue.
I'm all in about getting behind our youngters, but a lot of new experienced players are needed in this moment.

Asian gooner the 3 you mentioned are good enough to push for first team this year they look very good.

Let’s hope so. If three players can establish themselves over the next few years as regulars, that's already a massive amount of money being saved for that kind of talent.
