Well done to the youngsters winning the friendly 3-0. By all accounts Martinelli looked useful.
I noticed that Reiss Nelson didn't start, but he was on duty with England recently, so he may be behind in pre-season training.
The current crop of youngsters have huge potential and Emery appears to have made an excellent decision in promoting Freddie to the first team coaching staff. I very much like the look of Nelson and Saha. They are extremely quick and it would be great to see them either side of Nketiah in a front three of a 4-3-3 formation. By all accounts we played 4-4-2 in the friendly, it will be interesting to see if this is the formation we use this season, as it allows a front two of Lacazette and Aubameyang.

With regards to Nelson I could be wrong but he rested the main guys for bayern. Perhaps he is that much in his plans next season. Or he's just behind on fitness.
