Ivory Coast are out, so if anything is going to happen it should start this week hopefully, personally we should have got a few In to start pre season.

How's this for an option!
Emery doesn't want Mesut but does want Zaha so I wonder if Palace would accept a smaller offer than they want if they got Mesut on loan next season and we paid his wages.
Could be a brilliant solution for everyone.
Mesut gets to stay in London on his current wages plus play football.
I'm sure most Palace fans would be over the moon to have Mesut Ozil to our watch and if Roy can get the best out of Mesut again they would have struck a fantastic deal especially in view they would be losing their stand out player but gaining a top top player in return
While Emery loses a player he doesn't want and gets one he does want.
Obviously it depend on all parties being happy with it but it certainly looks like a decent solution to me.
I'm a huge Mesut fan but it's no secret he's not Emery choice of player.
What does everyone think?

I might have a go at solving Brexit if this one comes off :-)

I’d be happy with that lol.

I think most people would be Welsh mate those of us who rate Mesut very highly and those who don't.
He's simply wasting away his career at Arsenal especially if the manager really doesn't want him as seems the case.

That would mean we pay Ozil plus Zaha wages? I like the idea but ( sorry Ed ) the numbers would cause us issues surely. They would still want 40m for Zaha.

True SY but we would have to pay Zaha wages anyway mate if he joined us.
We've offered 40 million as an opening bid but 40 million and Mesut for 1 season would cost us 57 million plus Zaha wages and of course Palace may or may not like this idea.
But if they went for it and Mesut recaptured his old fantastic best at Palace then this time next year we could be inundated with offers from clubs willing to pay Mesuts wages plus a fee for him.
Personally I see nothing for Arsenal to lose from such a deal on a player that is so obviously surplus to requirements under our present manager, the only snags would be Palace and Mesut agreeing to of course, but on the face of it i don't see how anyone would have anything to lose from it.
