I think we are going down the prospect - youngster route, simply because we have no players with a sell on value for the last 4-5 years.

We are not in the same league as madid, barcenoa, city and united, we need to have assets to wheel and deal to survive

Some of the best football we have played the last 12 years was with players like cesc, nasri and van persie, infact all we were missing back then was a class keeper a holding midfielder and a cb.

Every is more suited to building a team of younger talent than dealing with over paid, know it all so called superstars. Ok we need some experienced players to help the progress of these youngsters, and I'm sure the club knows this.

I personally would give emery the chance for him to build a team for the future, this was what I liked about the club the last 30 or so years.

Agree4 Disagree0

Emery choice and I really hope it works for us but we need to see a big improvement on last seasons performances next season no matter which way he goes about things.
If this time next year we are talking about the potential of our young squad and using it as the reason we have fell even further behind then we really have gone full circle back to 2007 and Emerys transformation into the Arsene Wenger of his last decade will be totally complete.
No unquestionably improvement next season? then no 3rd season for Emery in my opinion, no matter what the reasons or excuses people come up with to defend him.
We need manager that can improve us or if not why ever didn't we simply stick with Arsene in the first place?
It's time for Emery to show everyone he's the man that actually can or give someone else a go in the 2020/ 21 season.

John your like my wife. saying one thing a year back and saying something new now.

If you expected emery to walk in and be hit instantly your delusional

His first season was always going to be about the task of seeing who is good enough.

How was he suppose to perform with the likes of micki, xhaka, iwobi, ozil, mustafi
and a few other waste of spaces.

You can't rebuild in one season. Wenger was lucky he walked in with a back 5, he had wrighty and bergkamp there as well.

Lt11 needs a year to settle, Bob Marley is a kid, societies needs a partner, which he had with holding until he got injured, same as bellerin.
Leno is a good keeper

You have to give him time.

Mark mate I never expected a title challenge or even top 4 but I did expect progress on what Arsene was capable of and 12 months on and there hasn't been any.
If next season we finish 6th rather than 5th but are no one's push over and our defence is the best we've seen in years I will want Emery to stay but if there is no totally obvious improvement then what's the point of new manager who does nothing new or different.
No patience without progression is my motto for next season, the more Emery shows us he can deliver on where we struggle the more patient I will be but I won't be accepting more displays like last season and pretending it's improvement on what we had before Emery arrived mate.
Why is it only at Arsenal where our managers underachieve and still get defended rather than held to account like at other clubs?
The longer we tolerate lack of improvement I'm pretty sure the longer we will get it served up to us.
