Spurs have never won the European cup. The only Euro comps they have won are the same ones we have - Fairs cup or whatever name it has gone by in the subsequent years and the Cup Winners Cup. They have never gone close to the European Cup whereas we have at least made a final not to mention getting out of our group 19 years on the trot.

A further point. The Raver's banter was amusing for a while but it is just tiresome and repetitive now.

I like Raver he's an ok bloke imo and I enjoy his banter too.
Theres no mallace in the man it's just friendly rivalry and for me personally I think this page would be a much worse place if he stopped posting on it.
Others have come on here and on live chat and been personal and abusive which I find a ridiculous way for adults to behave but Raver isn't one of those sort of people he's just having a laugh and imo anyone who gets upset by him needs to chill a bit more.

Thanks gunner, you seem like a top bloke who always sticks up for the raver. I have never said spurs are better than Arsenal but I honestly think the clubs are now neck and neck after spurs being miles behind Arsenal for many years even Arsenal legend Henry said the same thing on tv the other week. Yes I do brag Kane up as he's been slated on this page as a one season wonder ever year, that's it for me the raver is finished on these sites while I have enjoyed my time with gunner, Steve, dags etc having a bit of banter, so don't worry boys I won't bother you with my Subaru story's any more OVER AND OUT.

I on the other hand do enjoy Raver's presence. Top bloke in my opinion. His club is our biggest rival, but then again, the fact that he can come here and survive and actually make some friends is a very big show of tolerance which is in short supply in the world today. He is a Tottenham fan, so we can't expect him to come here and sing praise for Sanchez, Walcot etc. We are rivals and a bit of friendly banter is always appreciated. Never met the bloke, but from what he writes, I can almost paint a picture of a passionate Totenham fan who is always wearing a big smile and has a powdery nose from coke. I as the fan of the "superior club" lol, will tolerate him and maybe convince him to come out of the closet and don the AS7 jersey in red. COYG.

I have nothing personal against Raver nor any Spurs fans though I know only a few. And I also posted earlier in the week that I will be supporting Spurs against City this week. In fact if Arsenal don't win the league this year I'd rather Spurs win than some other teams. I mean one win ever is pitiful. It is the AFL grand final here tomorrow and all are supporting the Western Bulldogs as they have only won one time, 1954. However, unlike Raver, you will not find any Western Bulldogs fan trying to continuously mount a false and, even worse, tedious argument that their side is the best club in the country.

My last reply was sent before I read Raver's last reply. I personally am not trying to drive him away from the site. I was just bantering as he has always been. Please don't take offence from what I have said.
I am an Adelaide Crows supporter who has lived in Melbourne for 30 years. Those of you who know anything about Aussie rules should therefore realise how much stick I have had to put up with.
But, in the end, it is all good fun and I would hope everyone involved in this Spurs Arsenal rivalry treats it the same way.

I would rather Toot win than Man U, Man C, Chelsea, Liverpool or Everton. All these clubs have won plenty even if for Everton the last was a long time ago. I have lived in Australia so the rivalry with Spurs doesn't mean much to me. In fact, as Arsenal are a North London club I am more inclined to see Spurs as a sibling club than a rival. Likewise I'd prefer an EPL team to win the Champions League than a Spanish, German or Italian club. That sucvess would sort of reflects onto Arsenal. Supporting Arsenal as an overseas supporter is not the same thing as doing it from within the UK.

Justkunal - The Toot have never won the European Cup. They have won the UEFA Cup twice and the Cup Winners Cup. We won the Fairs Cup (later becoming the UEFA Cup) and the Cup Winners Cup.
It amuses me that Raver posts on the Arsenal site, he must be a closet Gooner.
I love this time of the season when the Toot fans tell us how this year they will finish above us, etc., it makes their end of season failure so much better.
Last season they finished behind us in the League, we put them out of the League Cup at their excuse for a ground, we went further in the FA Cup and we were in the CL and they were in the inferior Europa League. So we faired better in all four competitions. The pain at the lane just goes on. 1961!

How the flying fudge do man city have Aubamayang tied up for around 50 million pounds and we don't steady make a serious bid and show him how badly we want him. It really bugs me to see a team like city come out of no where in the last decade and just step all over such a great club like ours with so much more history of success. Sorry if I sound like a brat but it just pisses me off that something isn't being done at the board level. I really really want usmanov to come in and start to crap all over the abramovich and sheik mansoors . Financial fair play is a joke. If Arsene sees out his contract its difficult to see him clearing out and spending big, I think he will pretty go with what he has one more time.
Big job of sorting out Mertsacker Theo Gibbs etc will be left to the new manager the season after I think by with time Kos Monreal Giroud will all be in their early 30s.
We will need to give the new manager 3 years even if it means mid table in his first couple of seasons, we mustn't panic like utd sacking Moyse without even 1 season under his belt.

Gunner i don't think we have a total rebuild on our hands, a new manager could easily come in re shape the team and ideas add three or four players to start with to a basis of a good team, probably like wenger did when he came and i am sure you will see improvement. We are not in that bad a shape that a few new player and new ideas won't sort things out.

Wenger just doesn't have the same level of raw desire to dominate that fergie and mourinho have. And that's my meant as a dig at him, it's the truth and I think most would disagree that he gets a lot more pleasure from improving if a younger player and balancing the books rather than just winning at all costs. There's nothing illegal about paying high wages. The Chinese league is run I'm sure under the Asian football federation part that operates under FIFA and even if it didn't that's not illegal either. The U. K. , Spain, Germany, Italy etc. do not have a divine right to be the biggest leagues in the world. Players will obviously go play somewhere they can play for a few years and have their retirement setup in such a short time. It's what any person would do.

To say we don't play well together is not justified. We created more goal scoring opportunities than any other team last year. It's the final shot that's been missing. So teamwork and chemistry is there but that individual striker finishing begs to be improved. Which is not to say that responsibility falls only on the center forward. Also you'd be partially justified in saying we don't defend that great as a team sometimes. Especially when. We try to sit too deep.
