So, Ladies and Gentlemen it's that time of the year where Ed001 and Ed002 get together to pick their Matt Hawkers charity match teams.
However, 2020 brings a new format - Cross Rumours Pages Tournament
Posters will represent their pages teams, that's right, Liverpool vs Everton, Chelsea vs Arsenal, Manchester United vs Wolves
We want a poster to bring a friend with them to play in their team, as there may be more than one team for each page. This is going to be on a greater scale than ever before. I'm not sure of the male to female percentage on the sites. However, we want to progress this to including women in the teams!
So guys and girls, get in touch if you've any questions or to sign up.

Okay Gentlemen, We have news on the Matt Hawker Cup 2019.
So far, what do we know?
The date will be the 15th of June
And held in Oxfordshire-ish again.
After speaking to all 24 players, they have all told me they would like to play again next year, and due to their monumental effort how can anyone say no?
After seeing the wonderful words and backing on the site, it is clear a lot more people want to join in for 2019, so we have decided to increase squad sizes from 12 to 14, allowing us to have 4 new players.
Quite frankly there is no easy way to choose, so from as of right now we are running a competition.
It is one question you have to answer, by midnight, Friday the 22nd of June.
How many in TOTAL, goals will be scored at the world cup 2018. So yes this includes all goals previous to today, so time to do some homework ;)
The closest 4 will be added into the Matt Hawker cup, the next 4 after that will be placed on the reserve list. It is an honour to Matt and the website that so many people want to get involved and for that i am extremely grateful.
For any ties in the final standings, it will work on closest guess then move down to who submitted their guess first, so you may want to wait till friday after a few more goals, but is it worth the risk?!

Banbury and Derby gooner. To answer the first question, we need about 5/ 6. There's been a few injury's and other commitments that have ruled people out. And Derby, there's people from 20 to 50 years old. Even a couple flying in from abroad. Would be great if you two could play, just give me a text 07719565417. All in aid of two great causes.

There are a few spots left for the Site Posters charity match next month.
As I want full squads and we are getting close to the date, the match fee will be whatever you are happy to donate to SEVA foundation and Macmillan Nurses.

Jelfy I'm used to wheelchairs mate, I have one specially at Stringfellows when I get absolutely smashed the bouncers actually wheel me out on one into the taxis.

That will be way nearer the time though alex, as the eds will be busy setting out their formations and tactics for their squads 😂.

I agree. Kohln should be kicked out of the competition. The policing and stewards all need investigating to.
