Interesting that our Emery debate was played out on radio 5 tonight about limited / no improvement in arsenal since Wenger left and no revolution.
Poor home form, poor against top 6, poor defending, poor use of players, and only 2 points better than last season while better away we were very very lucky on unbeaten run. He is standing his ground, huge upheaval, no money and doing better than some thought they would given the change but generally we've not moved forward and still can't defend for toffee.

Teams with lesser players defend better which hints at poor organisation from both Arsene and Dick.
The Defensive players we have and have had aren't and haven't been world beaters but I do believe we haven't and aren't getting the best out of them either.

The kinda said that - they have top 6 squad that should never be outside of top 6 regardless. They asked who could you truly see finishing above Arsenal outside of the top 5 or 6. No one as the gap is so large. They asked what is he doing with Ozil and Rambo. Counter argument was - he’s stamping his mark. Two kinda thought there was zero progress and still terrible while the other guest didn’t see improvement outside of mentality and that they are doing better than they thought ( Top 10 was the expectation given huge changes across the entire club) .

Just glad it’s being discussed to put pressure on club, board, players and manager while establishing expectations.

Believe it’s comment Petit said about zero improvement and why no revolution. need to raad up on thise comments. Just made me chuckle as this site was having exactly the same balanced debate with the exception of a Steve as clearly he loves Emery and got some rose tinted glasses this summer 😂😂😂.

A win tomorrow will change every perspective. A defeat will mean top 6 simples. It can all be dressed up how anyone wants to but we are two points better off than last year, scored more goals than last year, let in more goals than last year, nearer to first than last year,
More points against top 6 than last year. They are all facts. What people prefer to interpret is up to them.

Brighton and Burnley Cbs pairings look good but are they really any better or even as good as our current CBs or just betrer coached and organised than our CBs currently are and have been before Dick got here?

True Steve you can use stats to paint almost any picture you want but the reality is always what we see on the pitch each week and at a after game 38.
My current opinion is no change of note and my predation is pretty much the same end result as last season league wise.
I don't really mind the league position too much in season one its the on field same old same old that really concerns me, I'm really disappointed in no change there.

Gunner, if we don't go backwards, that's something that's been addressed because we were doing. If we go forwards in any way that's a bonus.

Where are the tactical:

“I watched the last game with West Ham and I was thinking: ‘how can you put Ramsey on the bench and leave Ozil at home, knowing that you have no creative midfielders? ’.

Your right Steve we've not gone backwards, I'm not sure why but I'm not exactly excited by that :- (
I'm just one of those impossible to please types I guess :-) .

When change finally arrived I'd hoped for a little more than just a fresh face in the dug out I actually hoped for more than that mate.
