If at the start of the season someone had suggested we'd be within 2 points off top place after 8 games I'd have either laughed and written then off as delusional or thought everyone else was struggling too.
But truth is City Chelsea and Liverpool are far from struggling the pace is really high with the top 3 averaging 2.5 points per game and after our difficult start we've been 100% which is incredible in Dicks first season.
I'm extremely impressed but keeping my feet firmly on the floor and expectation levels on a 4th place challenge.

Gunner, our weaknesses are obvious and they are not going to go away by magic but unlike wenger, i really think Dick and the scouting team over the next two or three windows can bring in and take out the players needed. We don't need super stars, just solid young good quality defenders/ players. i'm not bothered if we don't bring in one attacking type player, that's not where we need the surgery. That is for later.

By the end of this season we will all know more than we did last August or do even now about what we really need Steve mate, who would have worried about Iwobi leaving last summer or Holding?
Who knows who might come good yet under Dicks leadership mate?
The blokes even stopped everyone moaning about Xhaka inclusion in the stating 11 :-) now that's some achievement:-)

Not me gunner, for me he is still a passenger. Lol. He is too limited, i don't see us going anywhere near the top with him in the team. The good thing is, for the future, we have a player to replace him. I thought today, he was struggling and yet again out played by his partner. Torreira did far more than him and didn't shirk, unlike him. I just think he is the weak link. It was a struggling Fulham and he just shirked his responsibilities, backing off tackling. He got caught in posesssion and gave the ball away far too easily. And my biggest pet hate, he turned his back while defending far too many times. Still his partner covered for him again and got stuck in, that's what we need.

I wasn't going to mention his name just because there was so many good things today but you dangled the hook. Lol.

There is real improvement from him Steve mate but no he's still not a premier league top dog midfielder but we are only 20% into the season let's see where he and everyone else are in May, so far we a fast improving side with lots of players playing above what we've seen from them before now.
