Two defeats to our rivals and two wins, the defeats we could have done better, and the ones we lost I think we were lucky to win dreading the next 4 games.

I’m dreading your next four posts 😉.

What’s wrong with you, we were lucky why?
Yes it wasn’t a pretty win but we’ve got the 3 pointe and I don’t think it was luck, we weren’t given a goal by luck.
You’ve got to give this team some time to get used to the new plan.
Yes we are not perfect and we are work in progress and if next summer the main issues not addressed than I think a loylt of fans will join your party.

CB is so anti Arsenal it’s untrue

CB our results against City and Chelsea were an improvement compared to last year .

I’d rather be lucky to win than unlucky to lose

It’s about gettting 3 points and we got them.

Went to my first game at the Emirates for the Westham game and the thing which struck me most was the prevalence of this sort of negative attitude among the fans around me. Yes everyone should be entitled to their opinion on the state of the team etc but some people seem to want to bitch and complain about the team more than to enjoy watching them play!

I actually thought we weer unlucky to lose to Chelsea, if you were awarding it on points then I think Chelsea probably pipped it but it would certainly be a split decision.
Both sides looked chaotic at the back and the game could easily have gone either way.
City? Well the best team in England in our very first game under Dick who didn't park the bus in order to get a fan pleasing result but instead put operation rebuild Arsenal straight into action and even then we didn't get thrashed.

I am not blown away with our changes - especially defence and not adapting to our strengths or changing our weaknesses but I am pleasantly surprised with the extra KMs the teams running, clearly practiced taking corners as well as our offensive play. Against Chelsea, I thought we were unlucky to not get a draw. I was pleased with the first half performance and numbe of chances created. Less said about the City game the better. The other two games - thought there were enough positives outside of 6 points to give us hope. There’s light at the end of the tunnel, it’s not a train coming towards us and it’s a long tunnel.
Surely enough to keep our spirits up while enough issues that we can still have a good old moan! Everyone likes a moan :)

On a side note - read a short article by Andy Gray saying he bets it difficult for Emery to get his point across at halftime due to the language barrier. Another thing we should consider as well as the lack of flexibility in the squad ( lots of same type players ) .

COYG!,! 👊.

We know the defence is all over the place the pundits know the defence is all over the place and I'm sure Dick knows too but he sticks to his system why?
I think it's because he knows it will take time for his ways to become the players ways and accepts there will be mistakes made during the transition from the old to the new.
If it was me I'd do it different to Dick but maybe if we all knew his long term plan we'd accept short term puzzlement for long term premier league contention.
Arsene left us a decade without a credible defence I'm prepared to give Dick the benefit of a whole season to sort it at least.

I am not anti arsenal I just don’t see any improvement Banbury and that’s a worry!

10.) 04 Sep 2018
04 Sep 2018 08:38:32
It think you are a little bit anti Arsenal CB and have been ever since Arsene went.

11.) 04 Sep 2018
04 Sep 2018 14:13:13
Why on earth would I be anti arsenal when I support them, makes no sense, I just don’t see any change In fact I think we are worse, but that’s just me.

12.) 04 Sep 2018
04 Sep 2018 16:40:00
No CB its not just you, its every arsenal fan who’s as stubborn as wenger and didn’t want a change,
So you are ok with goving arsene another 3 years contract of the same rubbish not can’t accept the new manager start to the season when he inherited all of arsene’s rubbish buys, which he has to work with.
Give him a chance at least until the new year and then maybe you can judge Emery which is still very short time.

13.) 04 Sep 2018
04 Sep 2018 17:25:31
Moe, he never even gave him the first game, so fat chance of him having the patience to give him while the new year. Most people actually appreciate the job Dick has, after being left with the shambles wenger left behind, which most people can see. Instant impact is and never was being realistic to sane and sensible people. I think most posters on here are on board with what is going on, success or failure.

14.) 04 Sep 2018
04 Sep 2018 19:11:51
The issue with the defence is the line is that high and the wing backs are so far forward due to lack of natural width, that the counter attack is always on, Emery needs to start playing a anchor to make that back 2 into a 3 whenever attacking, or ride it out until January and buy quicker smarter, more tactically switched on than the 2 we are currently playing.

15.) 04 Sep 2018
04 Sep 2018 19:52:44
I don’t want to jump in and beat what Wenger left and nor do I want to use Wenger as a scapegoat. If crybaby is suffering from Stockholm syndrome then let him be. My point from an analytic point of view is that althoughEmery may have done his homework via video it’s fair to say that you have to live through experience! Emery will want to take what was left and make slow calculated decisions! It’s insane to think that you just chuck 4-5 new players straight in and then stuff happens . He had a team capable of finishing in the top six’s oat the very worst that’s where we would be! But carefully change and implement it over a controlled period will reap better rewards . I think Emery is very meticulous in his approach.

16.) 04 Sep 2018
04 Sep 2018 20:17:52
CB you started laughing when it was 2-2 and said we are crap . that’s anti Arsenal.

17.) 04 Sep 2018
04 Sep 2018 20:26:44
Think you pretty much nailed it there with that last post Sanogo. 😁👍🏼.

18.) 04 Sep 2018
04 Sep 2018 20:38:25
Thank you stoner. I just don’t want supporting arsenal turning into top of the pops with teenagers pissing themselves . You will see what he’s about over the next two windows and how he brings players in. We are very much still the Arsenal of old but I reckon he will change out cech and xhaka in the coming games against easier opposition at home. We have had two games against strong opposition and a Home game against West Ham that always has to be respected and a away game against a Warnock side that will physically compete. If the Cardiff game was at home then I reckon Leno or Torreira would start maybe both . It will get better I’m sure.

05 Sep 2018 16:38:10
Now let’s get this right moe I wanted Wenger to leave so where you got I wanted a 3 year deal for him is a joke, I wanted Wenger gone 2/ 3 years ago maybe before we won the first cup he should have gone, all iam saying is I see no change, but some how you lot seem to think iam typing something else, so I type I can’t see no change and don’t think the manager is good enough and you lot see, I want Wenger back and I hate arsenal, and Steve don’t even go there fella you don’t give any players you don’t like the chance to prove themselves so I don’t really read your posts lol.

20.) 05 Sep 2018
05 Sep 2018 16:39:46
So Banbury if I type your name in the search engine and see any posts saying arsenal are rubbish crap not good enough that makes you anti arsenal 😂😂😂good one.

21.) 05 Sep 2018
05 Sep 2018 17:01:25
Iam sure u said Sunday arsenal were crap in the 70s and had a go at me because I wasn’t born earlier enough to see it your sooooo anti arsenal for that 🤭.

22.) 05 Sep 2018
05 Sep 2018 18:35:23
And crybaby, which actually suits you well, i don't think you are anti arsenal, just anti everything sensible.

23.) 05 Sep 2018
05 Sep 2018 18:29:55
Thank god you don't read my posts, that will mean i won't get anymore childish responses. I respect opinions but not trolling.

24.) 05 Sep 2018
05 Sep 2018 22:44:27
You wouldn’t make a reliable witness CB lol

I never mentioned any decade I just said I’ve seen worst sides that the one you were watching on Sunday .

Have another go CB

Never spoil a good story with the facts lol.

25.) 06 Sep 2018
06 Sep 2018 07:41:43
I think you did Banbury U said so you never seen them in the 70s then, also someone else commented about it and I said it’s not my fault I was born later.

26.) 06 Sep 2018
06 Sep 2018 08:49:54
Anyway let’s move on.

27.) 06 Sep 2018
06 Sep 2018 10:17:47
This is all getting a little silly. I was in the live chat when this went down and BamBam, you did mention something about being born in the 70's or 60's or something, mate. It'll still be in the chat log.

What I also don't get is, why are you lot so adamant to get someone to see things exactly as you see them? So CB has a difference of opinion, big deal. It's not like he's wrong about how poor we still are. I don't think we need knee-jerk reactions like #EMERYOUT but the bottom line is, we have looked poor in just about every game this season, so far.

28.) 06 Sep 2018
06 Sep 2018 17:07:30
Thanks sharpe nice to see someone being honest.

29.) 06 Sep 2018
06 Sep 2018 17:56:26
Sharpe, its not about his opinion, its about from the first minute of the new season, he hasn't given Dick a chance. I really don't know about his opinion, he justs slags everything and everyone off, without any opinion.

30.) 06 Sep 2018
06 Sep 2018 18:32:55
Yes born, I said you must have been born in the 70’s and said “ that tells me you have seen mostly Wengers era” which tells me he didn’t see Howe or Neil. It’s not about being honest, you are just selective CB.

31.) 06 Sep 2018
06 Sep 2018 18:48:41
CB let’s look at some of your outrageous comments

1) Sack him ( Emery) after 5 games
2) commenting on the game v Cardiff “ this is the worst Arsenal side I’ve seen” . what about the absolute hidings we had under Wengers leadership?
3) “ we should beat everyone outside of the top 6 . that’s the best . think about it . So we should get a minimum of 84 points each season . brilliant.

32.) 06 Sep 2018
06 Sep 2018 19:26:59
Banners, it doesn't matter what you said, some people will try and twist it to suit. It then all sounds a bit childish.

33.) 07 Sep 2018
07 Sep 2018 08:51:11
I did t say sack him I said if he loses the next 5 games he has to go for me
And I said the worst team performances I’ve seen
And yes I did say we should be beating teams from outside the top 6,
1 out of three isn’t bad Banbury but if it hurts you that much you have to lie I’ll let you have them.

34.) 07 Sep 2018
07 Sep 2018 08:51:55
And Steve it’s banbury that’s doing the twisting as someone else poured out yesterday.
